Early life and family

Jordan was born on October 8, 2001, in Hoover, Alabama, to parents Chris and Stacie Jordan. He has two older brothers, Griff and Wes. His father played baseball at the University of Alabama before being drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1985. His grandfather, also named Wes Jordan, played minor League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.

High school career

Jordan began his High School career in 2016, playing for Desoto Central high school in Southaven, Mississippi. As a freshman, he hit .426 with 10 home runs and 26 RBIs. He was named a First Team All-State selection and was also named the Gatorade Mississippi Player of the Year.

College career

Jordan started his collegiate career at LSU, where he played for two seasons. In his freshman year, he batted .308 with 10 home runs and 47 RBIs. He was named to the All-SEC Freshman team and the SEC All-Tournament team. In his sophomore year, Jordan hit .356 with 23 home runs and 74 RBIs. He was named a First Team All-American by Baseball America and the SEC Player of the Year. After his sophomore season, Jordan decided to forgo his remaining eligibility and declared for the MLB Draft

Professional career

Blaze Jordan was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the second round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Red Sox batting .333/.475/.818 with two Home Runs in six games. He was then promoted to the Short Season-A Lowell Spinners. In 2019, he played for both the Class A Greenville Drive and the Salem Red Sox of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League compiling a combined .296 batting average 24 home runs and 74 RBIs in 114 games between both teams.

Blaze Jordan was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on October 8, 2001. He attended high school at Oak Grove high school As a junior, he helped lead his team to the state championship game. After his senior season, he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Mississippi. He then committed to play college baseball at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).

Jordan has been teammates with several other young stars including Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss), Jake Mangum (Mississippi State), Graeme Stinson (Duke), and Ethan Hankins (UCLA). He has also worked out with MLB All-Stars Miguel Cabrera and Justin Verlander.
