After a difficult few years, during which the team had a combined record of just 9-53, the school made the decision to bring in a new coach with fresh ideas. Coach Billy Leatherman was hired in April 2018, and he wasted no time in putting his stamp on the program.

One of his first moves was to bring in a new Assistant Coach Matt Selbo, who had previously worked with Leatherman at Dakota Wesleyan University. Selbo is widely regarded as one of the top young coaches in the country, and he has helped to create a more positive and upbeat environment within the team.

The players have responded well to the changes, and they are now starting to see some success on the court. The team went 12-16 last season, their best record in four years, and they are off to a good start this season with a 5-3 record.

Woltersdorf is joined by fellow seniors Kyle Schuckert and Jordan Eisma in the backcourt.
