Marlowe began his professional career in 2018, when he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft. He spent that season playing for the Padres’ rookie-level affiliate, the Arizona League Padres. In 2019, he was promoted to the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps, where he posting a .270 batting average with eight home runs and 46 RBIs in 106 games.

Marlowe was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1995. He showed an early interest in baseball, and he began playing organized games when he was just five years old. Marlowe quickly distinguished himself as a talented player, and he began to draw attention from scouts when he was still in elementary school.
Marlowe continued to excel as he moved through the ranks of youth baseball He starred for his high school team, and he was selected to play for Team USA in the Under-18 Baseball World Cup in 2013. Selected in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Chicago Cubs Marlowe was immediately sent to their minor league affiliate, the South Bend Cubs. In his first professional season, Marlowe batted .270/.352/.387 with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs in 65 games.
The following season, Marlowe was promoted to the Double-A Tennessee Smokies In 122 games, he batted .291/.362/.444 with 10 Home Runs and 61 RBIs. He also played in 5 games for the Triple-A Iowa Cubs but he did not record a hit in 15 at-bats.
Marlowe began the 2017 season back with the Smokies, but he was soon promoted to the Triple-A Iowa Cubs. In 21 games with Iowa, he batted .368/.419/.526 with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. He was then called up to the Major Leagues on May 17th and made his debut that day against the Pittsburgh Pirates

After a strong showing in rookie ball, Marlowe was promoted to the Single-A Rome Braves in 2017. In 128 games with Rome, Marlowe hit .271/.332/.392 with 10 home runs and 62 RBI. He also stole 17 bases and was named a MID-SEASON ALL-STAR.
Marlowe began the 2018 season with the Double-A Mississippi Braves, and he is currently batting .333/.432/.667 with four home runs and 12 RBI in 12 games.

Marlowe was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the fifth round of the 2018 MLB Draft He spent the 2018 season with the Lowell Spinners, Boston’s Low-A affiliate, where he hit .296/.351/.484 with 10 home runs and 41 RBI. Marlowe was named a New York-Penn League All-Star and was promoted to the High-A Salem Red Sox in 2019. In 2019, Marlowe hit .271/.345/.460 with 18 home runs and 73 RBI for Salem. He was once again named a league All-Star and was promoted to the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs midway through the season.
