What is the time commitment for Delaware Field Hockey?
The time commitment for Delaware Field Hockey varies depending on which team you choose to play on. Our travel teams practice two to three times per week during the fall season and attend approximately five tournaments per year. During the spring season, travel team practices are reduced to one or two times per week with two to three tournaments per year. Our local teams practice once or twice per week with one tournament per year. Practices typically last one to two hours.
Are there tryouts for Delaware Field Hockey? Yes, all players must tryout for Delaware field hockey in order to be considered for placement on a team. Tryouts are held in May/June for our fall travel teams and September/October for our spring travel teams. Local teams do not have tryouts but placements are first come, first serve basis until rosters are filled
