The DeSales University Women’s basketball team is a Division III Basketball Program that competes in the Colonial States Athletic Conference

DeSales University

DeSales University is a NCAA Division III school located in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The women’s Basketball team competes in the Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) and has won two conference championships

Women’s Basketball

The DeSales University women’s basketball team is a Division III collegiate Basketball team that competes in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). The team is currently coached by Kristen Hogan, who is in her fifth season at the helm. The team plays its home games at the Billera Hall on the campus of DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

Student-Athletes

The DeSales University women’s basketball team is comprised of student-athletes who are dedicated to their studies and to the sport of basketball. The team trains hard and competes at a high level, representing the university with pride. The women’s basketball team is a tight-knit group who support and encourage each other on and off the court.

Academic Success

The DeSales University women’s basketball team is committed to academic success. In order to be eligible to compete in basketball, all student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. The team has a 95% graduation rate and 100% of our student-athletes who have completed their eligibility have gone on to receive their degree.

Athletic Success

The DeSales University women’s basketball team has seen a great deal of success in recent years The team has won the conference championship three times in the last four years, and has made it to the NCAA Division III tournament six times in the last eight years.

The team is led by Head Coach Amy Moore, who was named the conference Coach of the Year in both 2016 and 2017. Moore has a career record of 224-77 at DeSales, and her teams have averaged over 20 wins per season during her tenure.

The team’s success is due in part to its strong recruiting class each year. In recent years the team has signed some of the top High School players in Pennsylvania, as well as players from New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

The team is also helped by its strong fan support. The university’s students and alumni have turned out in large numbers to support the team, and the community surrounding the university has also been very supportive.

Campus Life

The DeSales University Women’s Basketball team is a Division III team that competes in the Middle Atlantic Conference The team is made up of student-athletes from all over the country who come to DeSales to compete at the highest level of NCAA athletics. The team is coached by Amanda Leeseberg and her staff.

Community Engagement

As part of DeSales University’s commitment to community engagement, the Women’s Basketball Team participates in a number of outreach initiatives. These include working with local youth groups, providing clinics and workshops, and appearing at community events.

The team also works closely with the DeSales University Athletics Department’s Community Outreach Coordinator to plan and implement community engagement activities. In addition to their work with the local community, the team also participates in a number of service projects each year. These have included fundraisers for charities such as the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as well as participating in local food drives and clean-up projects.

Alumni

The DeSales University women’s Basketball team has produced many successful alumni, including three who have gone on to play in the WNBA.

Donors

DeSales University women’s Basketball team is currently in its 21st season as a varsity sport. The team has had great success over the years, thanks in large part to the support of our donors.
