Frederick CC Baseball has a long-standing tradition of excellence. The program has produced many Major League Baseball players and continues to be a top destination for aspiring college ballplayers.
Frederick CC Baseball: A Tradition of Excellence
Since its founding in 1961, Frederick Community College has been proud to offer an affordable and accessible education to the citizens of Frederick County, Maryland. One of the ways we live up to our mission of providing a quality education is by ensuring that our student-athletes have every opportunity to succeed both on and off the playing field.
Frederick CC Baseball has a long tradition of excellence, winning conference championships in 1965, 1966, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 1994 and most recently in 2014. We have also had 27 players named First Team All-Conference and 6 named Second Team All-Conference.

The History of Frederick CC Baseball
Frederick Community College has a long and successful history in baseball. The team has won numerous conference and Regional Championships and has made several appearances in the national Junior College World Series
The program began in the early 1950s, under the direction of coach Ned Merritt. Coach Merritt built a strong foundation for the program, and the team soon became one of the top junior college programs in the country.
Under Coach Merritt’s leadership, Frederick CC won nine conference championships and made seven appearances in the NJCAA World Series In 1971, the team won the NJCAA World Series finishing with a perfect record of 32-0. This remains the only perfect season in NJCAA history.
In recent years Frederick CC has continued to be one of the top Junior College programs in the country. The team has won four conference championships and three regional championships since 2000. In 2009, the team finished as runners-up at the NJCAA World Series
The tradition of excellence established by Coach Merritt continues today, under the leadership of Head Coach Matt Ward. Coach Ward has led Frederick CC to four conference championships and three regional championships since taking over as head coach in 2009. The team is once again competing at a high level, and is poised to make another run at a National Championship
The Frederick CC Baseball Program
The Frederick CC baseball program has a long tradition of excellence, dating back to its inception in the late 1940s. The program has produced many Major League Baseball players over the years, including Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr.
Today, the Frederick CC baseball team competes in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC). The team plays its home games at Thomas Field, located on the Frederick CC campus.
The Frederick CC Baseball Program has a rich tradition of success, both on and off the field. The team has won numerous conference championships and made several appearances in the NCAA Division III World Series In addition to its on-field success, the team is also committed to academic excellence, with numerous players earning All-Academic honors each year.

The Frederick Community college baseball team has a long and successful history. The team has been playing at the Frederick Community College campus since it was founded in 1967. The team has won numerous conference and regional championships, and has made several trips to the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series The team is currently coached by former Major League player, Mike Piazza

The Frederick CC baseball league is a tradition of excellence that has been providing quality baseball instruction and competition for over 50 years. The league is open to any player who is enrolled in a Community College in Maryland. Frederick CC is one of eight community colleges that make up the league.
The league provides a great opportunity for players to improve their skills and compete at a high level. The league is very competitive, and the teams are always striving to win the championship.

The Frederick CC Baseball Tournament is one of the most prestigious events in the collegiate Baseball World It is an annual tournament that takes place at Frederick Community College in Maryland, and it attracts some of the best teams in the country. The Frederick CC Baseball Game
The Frederick CC baseball game is one of the oldest and most tradition-rich games in the country. It dates back to 1868, when a group of local businessmen formed a team to play against a team from Washington, D.C. The game has been played every year since then, making it the longest-running annual baseball game in the country.
The game is traditionally played on Memorial Day at Frederick’s Gibson Island Park. In recent years however, the game has been played on Memorial Day weekend, to accommodate the schedules of both teams.
The game is a symbol of Frederick’s rich baseball history Frederick has been home to many professional and semi-professional baseball teams over the years, including the Frederick Keys (a Baltimore Orioles affiliate), the Frederick Schooners (a short-lived North Atlantic League team), and the Frederick Patriots (an independent minor league team).
The game is also a symbol of Frederick’s community spirit. Every year, thousands of people come out to watch the game and support the two teams. The event is a major fundraiser for both local charities and causes.

The Frederick CC Baseball Season
The Frederick CC Baseball Team is a tradition of excellence. The season starts in late February/early March and runs through mid-May. The team plays its home games at Bachman Park, located on the campus of Frederick Community College The park has a capacity of 500 spectators. The team competes in Region XX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Frederick CC is a member of the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MDJUCO).
