What to expect from the HBU baseball team this season

The Houston Baptist University baseball team is back and looking to build on their strong performance from last season. The Huskies are led by senior pitcher Caleb exum, who returns after an impressive junior campaign. The team will also be relying heavily on senior first baseman Ryan Chandler and junior outfielder Matthew Tidwell. With a mix of experienced veterans and talented young players the Huskies are poised for another successful season

If you’re a fan of the Houston Baptist University baseball team then you’ll want to know how to follow them this season. The team has released their schedule, and we’ve got all the information you need to make sure you don’t miss a game.

The first thing you need to know is that all of the team’s home games will be played at their on-campus facility, Husky Field. If you can’t make it to the games in person, don’t worry – they will be streamed live on the HBU athletics website.

The team’s first game is on February 1st, against UTSA. The game starts at 6:30pm CST, and will be followed by a Home game against Lamar on February 2nd at the same time.

From there, the team has several away games before returning home to Husky Field on February 28th to take on Northwestern State.

The HBU Baseball Team has been around for over 50 years and has a rich history. The team has won numerous championships and produced many Major League Baseball players. The team is currently coached by Craig Goldstein and play their home games at Husky Stadium.

The HBU baseball team’s most memorable moments

The HBU baseball team has seen plenty of action over the years. Here are some of their most memorable moments:

In 2001, the team went undefeated in conference play and won the regular season title.

In 2002, the team made it to the conference tournament Championship game but lost to UTSA.

In 2003, the team won the conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament

In 2004, the team won another conference title and made it back to the NCAA Regional tournament They eventually lost to Baylor in the semifinals.

In 2005, the team made it all the way to the NCAA Division I College World Series! They eventually lost to Texas in the semifinals.

The HBU Baseball Team is one of the most successful programs in the nation. In fact, they’ve been to the College World Series six times and have won it all twice. Here are 10 things you may not know about the team:

1. The team was founded in 1978.
2. The team is a member of the NCAA Division I and competes in the Southland Conference
3. The team plays its home games at Husky Field, which opened in 2000 and has a capacity of 3,500.
4. The team has made six College World Series appearances, most recently in 2016.
5. The team has won two College World Series titles, in 2003 and 2005.
6. The team has produced 22 Major League Baseball players, including Jeff Bagwell and Lance Berkman.
7. The team’s Head Coach is Mark Johnson who has been with the program since 2006.
8. Under Johnson’s leadership, the team has won six conference championships and made five NCAA tournament appearances.
9. In 2016, the team set a school record for wins in a season with 50 victories.
