The team is coached by John Calipari who has won eight conference championships and four national championships. The team plays its home games at the Kohl Center which has a capacity of 17,000.

The rest of the starting lineup includes juniors Matt Milano, Andrew McDonald, and Eric Sutherland, with sophomores Ryan Glebe and Nick Lippert coming off the bench. The team finished the regular season with an impressive 23-3 record which included big wins against rivals Bradley University and Valparaiso University

Iit advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament for the first time in school history after beating Texas Tech in the first round and then Auburn in the second round. The team’s run came to an end when they lost to eventual National Champion Virginia in the Sweet Sixteen

This victory was especially sweeter for Iit, as it avenged their loss from last year and earned them their first ever men’s Basketball Championship Congratulations to Iit on an incredible season!
