Hardy declared for the NBA draft after his sophomore year, but he went undrafted. He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers as an undrafted free agent but was later waived by the team. Hardy then spent some time playing in the NBA Development League before signing with the Charlotte Hornets in 2016.
Hardy has seen limited action in his three seasons with the Hornets, averaging just over five minutes per game. He is currently signed with the Hornets through the 2019-20 season but is unlikely to see much re Playing time given the team’s depth at his position.
