The Kalamazoo baseball experience is a community partnership that provides opportunities for all youth in Kalamazoo to play baseball

The Kalamazoo Baseball Experience is organized into four different levels of play, each designed to meet the needs of a different age group. The four levels of play are T-Ball, Rookie Ball, Minor Ball, and Major/Senior Ball.

T-Ball is for children ages 4-6 and focuses on introducing the Basic Skills of baseball in a non-competitive setting. Rookie Ball is for children ages 7-9 and is designed to prepare players for Minor Ball by teaching them basic baseball skills in a slightly more competitive environment. Minor Ball is for children ages 10-12 and is intended to develop players’ baseball skills in a competitive setting. Major/Senior Ball is for children ages 13-18 and focuses on developing players’ skills in preparation for High School or college baseball

The Kalamazoo baseball experience also offers several clinics throughout the year which are open to all youth in Kalamazoo County. These clinics provide youth with an opportunity to learn from and interact with local high school and college coaches and players.

The Kalamazoo Baseball Experience is supported by many different partners, including the City of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Public Schools, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo Valley Community College PNC Bank, MLive Media Group, and the Chicago White Sox Amateur City Elite (ACE) Program.

The Kings play their home games at Mayors’ Riverfront Park, located on the banks of the Kalamazoo River. The team is part of the Midwest Collegiate League, which is made up of players who have either completed their college eligibility or have not yet been drafted by a Major League Baseball team.
