The Liberty Baseball Field has a long and storied history. It was the home of the Liberty baseball team from 1892 to 1957, and it has been the site of many important events in the history of the game.

The Liberty Baseball Field has been the home of the Liberty baseball team since the early 1900s. The field is located on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Liberty baseball team has a rich history, dating back to its founding in 1894. The team has won 24 conference championships and made 28 NCAA tournament appearances. In 2016, the team made its first appearance in the College World Series

Liberty has also produced 27 Major League Baseball draft picks and had two players named First-Team All-Americans.
Under Head Coach Jim Toman, the Flames have compiled a 438-233 (.652) record and averaged nearly 40 wins per season. Liberty has won at least 40 games in eight of Toman’s 11 seasons at the helm, including a program-record 50-win campaign in 2014.

At Liberty Baseball Field we have the best staff in the business. Our head coach Nate Frese, has led the team to four conference championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances in his six years at the helm. He was named conference Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2016. Under his leadership, the team has set a school record for wins in a season (45 in 2016) and has had 12 players drafted by Major League teams, including five in the last two years.
Our assistant coaches are also some of the best in the country. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they share with our student-athletes every day. Our head pitching coach, Jason search, has helped develop 13 Major League pitchers, including All-Stars Chris Archer and Aroldis Chapman Assistant Coach Ryan Sontag was named National assistant coach of the Year in 2016 by Collegiate Baseball News after leading Liberty to its first ever appearance in an NCAA Baseball regional final.
