The Minnesota Lynx are a professional Basketball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, playing in the Western Conference in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team was founded before the 1999 season. The Lynx play their home games at Target Center. The team is currently coached by Cheryl Reeve and owned by Glen Taylor who also owns the Minnesota Timberwolves As of 2019, the Lynx have qualified for the NBA playoffs in eleven of their twenty years in Minneapolis, winning six NBA championships including four consecutive from 2011–14. They are one of two teams to win four championships consecutively.

Prahl enters her sixth season as the Head Coach of the Mn Womens Basketball team Under her direction, the Golden Gophers have put together a 155-41 (.789) overall record and a 68-26 (.721) mark in Big Ten play.
