The first big game is on November 12th against St. Louis. This will be the Mocs’ first road game of the season and it’s sure to be a tough one. The next big game is on December 17th, when the Mocs take on Southern Miss at home. This will be a good test for the team as they take on a quality opponent early in the season.

Other notable games include a December 30th matchup against UNC-Asheville and a January 27th contest against Wofford. Both of these games will be played at home and will be great opportunities for the Mocs to pick up some important wins.

The Mocs basketball schedule for the upcoming season

The Mocs Basketball Schedule for the upcoming season is out, and here’s what you need to know. The team will open the season with a Home game against Georgia Tech on November 6th, followed by a road game at Tennessee on November 10th. After that, the Mocs will have a string of home games against Chattanooga (November 13th), North Carolina A&T (November 17th), and East Tennessee State (December 1st). Then, it’s back on the road for games at Furman (December 4th) and Samford (December 8th) before returning home to host UNC Greensboro on December 15th. The Mocs will close out their non-Conference Schedule with a road game at Wofford on December 18th.

In conference play the Mocs will open up at home against VMI on December 29th. They’ll then hit the road for games at Western Carolina (January 2nd), UNCG (January 5th), and ETSU (January 9th) before returning home to host Furman on January 12th. From there, the team will travel to Mercer (January 16th), The Citadel (January 19th), and Wofford (January 23rd) before returning home to take on Samford on January 26th. The Mocs will then close out their regular season schedule with games at Chattanooga (February 2nd) and Virginia Military Institute (February 6th).

The Mocs Basketball Schedule Home games

The Mocs will play their first home game on November 12th against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This will be the first of six games the Mocs will play at home during the month of November. The other five games are:

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s basketball team will play eight of its first 13 games away from home, including four of its first five, according to the schedule announced Monday by Head Coach John Shulman.

The Mocs open the season with an exhibition game against Paine College on Nov. 2 at McKenzie Arena, and then play their first five games away from home. UTC’s first road game is Nov. 9 at Gardner-Webb, and it also goes to Bradley (Nov. 12), UAB (Nov. 15) and USC Upstate (Nov. 19) before returning home to face Kennesaw State on Nov. 22.

The Mocs Basketball Schedule Non-conference games

The 2017-18 Season for the Mocs Men’s Basketball team will feature many stiff tests during the non-conference portion of the season. Over the course of November and December, the team will face off against some of the best teams in the country in preparation for their Southern Conference slate.

The first challenge for head coach Matt McCall and his squad will come on Friday, November 10th when they travel to Norman, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma Sooners This will be the first time these two teams have faced each other since December 30th, 1982 when the Mocs fell 65-49 in Chattanooga.

On Monday, November 13th, the Mocs will take on crosstown rival UTC in what is always a tightly contested game. The Mocs have won four straight games in the series, but UTC will be looking to even the score this season.

A few days later, on November 17th, Chattanooga will play host to one of college basketball’s most storied programs when they welcome Duke to McKenzie Arena. This will only be the second time these two teams have met, with Duke winning 92-61 back on December 30th, 2000.

Next up for Chattanooga is a road trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where they will take on Alabama on Tuesday, November 21st. The Crimson Tide are always a tough out at home, but the Mocs will be looking to pull off an upsets similar to what they did last season when they defeated Auburn and Florida State on the road.

The final non-conference game of note for Chattanooga is a home contest against Ole Miss on Saturday, December 16th. The Rebels are coming off a solid 2016-17 season in which they made it all the way to the second round of the NCAA tournament Ole Miss should provide a good barometer for where Chattanooga stands heading into SoCon play.

Here is the list of games that will be televised this season. The Chattanooga Mocs will appear on ESPN+ three times, FOX Sports South four times, and NBC Sports Washington once. The game against Wofford will be broadcast on ESPN News.
