NBA 2 Round Mock Draft
Contents
I have the Milwaukee Bucks selecting Duke’s RJ Barrett with the first overall pick in my latest NBA 2 Round Mock Draft
Cleveland Cavaliers-
The Cleveland Cavaliers will have the 5th and 26th picks in the upcoming 2020 NBA draft With those selections, they should look to take the best talent available regardless of position. However, if they have a chance to draft a player who can come in and contribute right away, they should certainly do so.
With their first pick, the Cavaliers should look to draft center Obi Toppin out of Dayton. He is an elite athlete who can finish around the basket with authority. He is also a very good shooter and has the potential to become a great stretch big man in the NBA. Toppin would be a great complement to Kevin Love and could form a very potent frontcourt tandem for years to come.
With their second pick, the Cavaliers should look to draft guard Tyrese Haliburton out of Iowa State Haliburton is an excellent shooter and playmaker who has shown the ability to run an offense at a high level. He would be a perfect fit next to Collin Sexton in the backcourt and would give the Cavaliers another scoring threat from outside.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have the seventh and 28th picks in the 2020 NBA Draft After a disappointing season, the Lakers will look to add some young talent that can help them get back to contender status. With that in mind, here is a two-round mock draft for the Lakers.
In the first round, the Lakers could look to add a dynamic scorer off the bench. UNC shooting guard Cole Anthony would be a great fit in Los Angeles Anthony is an electric scorer who can get his shot off against anyone. He would be a great fit next to Lebron James and Anthony Davis
In the second round, the Lakers could look to add a big man with some upside. Daniel Oturu out of Minnesota would be a good option. Oturu is an athletic big man who can block shots and run the floor. He needs to develop his offensive game, but he has loads of potential.
Philadelphia 76ers-
The Philadelphia 76ers have had a season to forget. They started the season with high expectations, but injuries and chemistry issues derailed their season. They finished with a disappointing record of 19-63, and will have the second overall pick in the NBA Draft
With their first pick, the Sixers should take Ben Simmons of LSU. Simmons is a versatile 6’10” forward who can do a little bit of everything on the court. He’s an excellent rebounder, and has the ability to create his own shot. He’s also a very good passer, and has the potential to be a star in the NBA.
With their second pick, the Sixers should take Dragan Bender of Croatia. Bender is a 7’1″ center who can shoot the three-pointer and block shots. He’s still raw offensively, but has a lot of potential. He would give the Sixers a much needed rim protector, and someone who can stretch the floor offensively.
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks are on the clock with the eighth overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft After an abysmal 2020-2021 campaign, the Knicks have a chance to add a young piece that can help this team get back on track. With that being said, let’s take a look at who the Knicks could select in the first and second round of this year’s NBA draft
In the first round, the Knicks could go in a number of different directions. LSU guard Cameron Thomas is someone who has been linked to the Knicks and would be a good fit in their backcourt. Gonzaga big man Corey Kispert is another name to keep an eye on, as he would give the Knicks another scoring option inside. Florida State guard Scottie Barnes is yet another option for New York, as he is a versatile player that can make an impact on both ends of the floor.
In the second round, keep an eye out for Eastern Washington guard Kim Aiken Jr. as someone who could be a steal for New York. Aiken Jr. is a smooth shooter that would immediately provide some scoring off of the bench for the Knicks. Other names to keep an eye on in the second round include Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis and Stanford guard Tyrell Terry.
Orlando Magic-
With the 6th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft the Orlando Magic select…
Sacramento Kings-

Minnesota Timberwolves-
The Minnesota Timberwolves have the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft They are in dire need of a star to pair with Karl-Anthony Towns and build around. In this Mock Draft they will have their pick of any player in the draft.
The Timberwolves have a few needs, but the most glaring is at the point guard position. They could also use some help at Power Forward and shooting guard With that being said, they should take the best player available regardless of position.
With the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select… LaMelo Ball!
Detroit Pistons-
The Detroit Pistons have the 45th and 57th overall picks in the 2020 NBA draft Here is a look at who they could select in each round.
In the first round, the Pistons could look to add a player like Cassius Winston, who would provide them with a steady hand at point guard Winston is a good shooter and has shown the ability to run an offense. He would be a good fit in Detroit.
In the second round, the Pistons could go with a player like Xavier Tillman. Tillman is a big man who can play both power forward and center. He is a good rebounder and shot blocker and would give the Pistons some much needed size on their front line.
Charlotte Hornets-
PG Lamelo Ball Illawarra Hawks (Australia)
Without further ado, let’s get to the Charlotte Hornets’ pick. The Hornets finished with a 23-42 record, good for 12th in the Eastern Conference They have a young core of players led by Devonte’ Graham and PJ Washington, and they added a veteran leader in Gordon Hayward this offseason.
