Conference Games
The Notre Dame women’s basketball team will open their Conference Schedule with a Home game against Pittsburgh on December 30th. They will then travel to take on Syracuse on January 3rd before returning home to host Georgia Tech on January 6th.
Postseason
The Notre Dame women’s basketball team is set to compete in the postseason for the 2020-21 season. The team will participate in the NCAA Tournament which is set to begin on March 18. The Fighting Irish are currently ranked No. 3 in the nation and are considered one of the favorites to win the tournament.

The exhibition games are a great opportunity for the team to come together and start working towards the common goal of winning a National Championship The games also allow the Coaching Staff to evaluate the team’s talent and depth, and to make adjustments to the game plan accordingly.
Team History
Notre Dame women’s basketball began in 1977 with head coach Muffet McGraw. The team played its first game against DePaul on November 29, 1977.
Roster
The Notre Dame women’s basketball team is composed of 12 student-athletes who hail from all across the United States The team is comprised of five seniors, four juniors, two sophomores, and one freshman.
Coaches
Notre Dame Women’s Basketball has a long and storied history, dating back to the team’s founding in 1897. The team has won over 20 National Championships and produced many Olympians and All-Americans. The current Head Coach is Muffet McGraw, who has been at the helm since 1987. McGraw is a Notre Dame alumna and a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Under her leadership, the team has won 8 national championships and made 22 appearances in the NCAA Final Four.
