Olympia High School has a long tradition of success in baseball, and that tradition starts with the Coaching Staff

Head coach Rich Schubert has been with the program for 12 years, and during that time he has led the team to five league championships and four trips to the State Tournament Schubert was named Coach of the Year in 2010, 2012, and 2014, and he was inducted into the Olympia high school Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.

Assistant coach Steve Brown has been with the program for 10 years, and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Brown was a four-year starter at catcher for Oregon State University and he played professionally for several years before joining the Olympia coaching staff

Rounding out the Coaching Staff is Pitching Coach Marty Costello, who has been with the team for six years. Costello is a former professional pitcher who played for several Major League Baseball teams during his career.

With this experienced and successful coaching staff leading the way, it’s no wonder that Olympia high school is one of the top baseball programs in the state of Washington.

The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 spectators and features a state-of-the-art lighting system, a video scoreboard, and a JumboTron. The large concourse area provides plenty of space for fans to move around and grab a bite to eat or drink from one of the many concession stands.

The Olympia Lions are a semi-professional Baseball Team that plays in the Pacific National League (PIL). The team was founded in 2013 and has been playing its home games at Olympia Stadium since 2014.

The PIL is a six-team league that consists of teams from Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The league season runs from May to September, with each team playing 60 games. The Olympia Lions have won the League Championship three times (2014, 2015, 2017).
