G – Bryce Hammonds, Jr.
The 5-11 Hammonds is the only returning starter in the backcourt after averaging 9.6 points and shooting 37 percent from three-point range last season. He will be counted on to provide scoring and leadership for the Golden Eagles this season.

G – Javan White, So.
White was Oral Roberts’ leading scorer off the bench last season, averaging 7.1 points in just over 20 minutes per game. The 6-4 guard will be asked to step into a starting role this season and his scoring will be important for ORU.

F – Albert Owens, Jr.
Owens is one of two returnees in the frontcourt after averaging 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last season. The 6-7 forward has shown some ability to score inside and he will look to be more consistent on offense this season.

F – Sam Kearns, Jr.
Kearns is ORU’s other returning starter in the frontcourt after averaging 4.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game last season. The 6-8 forward is a good shooter from three-point range (37 percent) and he will look to stretch opposing defenses with his outside shooting this season.

The Bench

Oral Roberts basketball is currently in the midst of a historic season. The team is led by Head Coach Paul Mills, and have won 28 games so far. The team’s success is due in large part to the play of its bench players

-Eliot Herzberg: A freshman guard from Toronto, Canada, Herzberg has been a key player for the team all season. He is averaging 8.4 points per game and is a good shooter from long range.
-Javan White: A junior forward from Los Angeles CA, White has been a key player for the team all season. He is averaging 7.8 points per game and is a good rebounder.
-Kendall Jacks: A sophomore guard from Tulsa, OK, Jacks has been a key player for the team all season. He is averaging 6.4 points per game and is a good shooter from long range.
-D’Maurian Williams: A junior guard from Chicago, IL, Williams has been a key player for the team all season. He is averaging 5.6 points per game and is a good defender.

Ethan is a 6’7″ guard/forward from Katy, Texas. He is a transfer from Oregon State and is eligible to play immediately. He averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game last season.

Javan White #11
Javan is a 6’10” center from Jenks, Oklahoma. He redshirted last season after transferring from Tyler Junior College He is expected to be a big contributor this season.

Max Abmas #2
Max is a 6’2″ guard from Muskegon, Michigan. He was named the Summit League Preseason Player of the Year and is expected to have a big year. He averaged 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game last season.

Founded in 1963, the school is named after its founder, televangelist Oral Roberts The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. It is the largest comprehensive Christian University in the world with over 4,000 students enrolled from all 50 states and over 60 countries.

The school’s sports teams are called the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles and they compete in the NCAA Division I Summit League The men’s basketball team has been to two NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournaments in 1978 and 2019.
