Brown, who was playing in just his fourth N.H.L. game, had been ice cold since being recalled from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League on Jan. 10. He had no goals and no points in his first three games with the Hurricanes.
But he finally got on the board with a power-play goal at 13 minutes 48 seconds of the third period, quickly getting off a Wrist Shot from the slot that beat Nashville goaltender Juuse Saros high to the glove side.
“It felt good to finally get that one,” Brown said afterward. “I’ve been getting some good looks and just haven’t been able to put them in lately, so it was nice to see one go in tonight.”
