2019 Pepperdine Baseball Schedule

The 2019 Pepperdine Baseball Schedule has been announced and the Waves will open the season with a three-game series against Long Beach State at home on February 15-17. The team will then travel to South Carolina to take on Clemson (February 22-24) and USC Upstate (March 1-3) before returning home to host Wright State (March 8-10) and Central Michigan (March 15-17).

Pepperdine will hit the road again for a brief two-game series at UCLA (March 19-20) before returning home to host Stanford (March 22-24) and St. Mary’s (March 29-31). The Waves will close out the month of April with a five-game homestand against West Virginia (April 5-7), Hofstra (April 12-14), and BYU (April 26-28).

May will begin with a four-game road trip to Gonzaga (May 3-5) and Loyola Marymount (May 10-12) followed by a return home for Senior Weekend against San Diego (May 17-19). The final regular season series of the year will see the Waves travel to San Francisco for a three game set against the Dons (May 24-26).

The 2019 West Coast Conference Baseball Championship will be held at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California from May 30 – June 2. The tournament is a double elimination format with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament

Pepperdine baseball camps are designed to help young players improve their skills and understanding of the game. The coaches at Pepperdine are committed to providing a positive and enjoyable camp experience for all participants.

The camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by age and gender.

What to Expect at a Pepperdine Baseball Game

The Pepperdine Waves baseball team plays its home games at Eddy D. Field Stadium in Malibu, California. The stadium has a capacity of 3,000 spectators. The team competes in the West Coast Conference and is currently coached by Lou Cvijanovich, who is in his 41st season as Head Coach

The Waves have appeared in the College World Series four times and have won the West Coast conference championship sixteen times. As of the 2019 season, the Waves have an all-time record of 2,188-1,565-24.

-A family-friendly atmosphere: The Pepperdine baseball experience is perfect for families with young children. There’s a playground located outside the stadium so kids can burn off some energy before the game starts. During the game, there are plenty of activities for kids to participate in between innings.

-Friendly competition: The Waves Baseball Team is known for being one of the most competitive teams in the West Coast Conference The team regularly competes for conference championships and frequently makes appearances in the NCAA tournament

-A scenic setting: Eddy D. Field Stadium is located on Pepperdine’s picturesque Malibu campus. Sitting in the stands, you’ll be treated to views of the Pacific Ocean as well as neighboring mountainsides.

Pepperdine Baseball Facilities

The Pepperdine baseball facilities are some of the best in the country. The team plays its home games at Eddy D. Field Stadium, which is located on the Malibu campus. The stadium has a capacity of 3,000 spectators and features a state-of-the-art press box, spacious locker rooms and a weight room. The stadium is also equipped with a video board and scoreboards that provide fans with up-to-the-minute game information.

In addition to Eddy D. Field Stadium, the Pepperdine baseball team has access to several Practice Facilities including a hitting facility, four bullpens, and a practice infield. The hitting facility is equipped with six batting cages, five pitching machines, and a Pitching Mound The bullpens are located adjacent to the main playing field and feature four covered cages that allow pitchers to work on their pitches in any weather conditions. The practice infield is available for use by both the Pepperdine baseball team and the softball team It features artificial turf and is used for both practices and games.

The Pepperdine Waves Baseball Team represents Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. The Waves are members of the West Coast Conference which is part of the NCAA’s Division I. Pepperdine has been a member of the WCC since its foundation in 1952. The team plays its home games at Eddy D. Field Stadium on campus.
