As the winter sports season winds down, one team that is heating up is the Randolph girls Basketball team The Lady Raiders are currently 12-4 overall and 11-3 in conference play They have won eight of their last nine games, with their only loss during that stretch coming to conference-leading Jamesville-Dewitt.

Randolph is led by a balanced scoring attack, with four players averaging in double figures. Senior guard Abby Gugel is the team’s leading scorer at 13.6 points per game followed by junior forward Emma Button (12.7 ppg), sophomore guard Lauren Barile (11.5 ppg) and senior forward Klarissa Ruggiero (10.1 ppg).

The Lady Raiders have been particularly tough on defense lately, allowing an average of just 35 points per game during their current nine-game Winning Streak They will put that defense to the test this week when they take on two of the top teams in the conference, West Genesee and Baldwinsville.

She has been leading the team in both practices and games. Other Key Players include junior guard, Jada Higgins; sophomore forward,Destiny Green; and freshman guard, Mya Johnson. The team’s Coach is Mr. Erickson.

The Randolph Girls basketball team has already had a great season so far! They have won 10 out of their 12 games and are currently ranked 3rd in the state.
