– December 1st: Rayville high school 71, Ouachita Parish high school 63
– December 8th: Rayville high school 65, Franklin Parish high school 52
– December 15th: Rayville High School 59, Richland Parish high school 54
The team’s next game is scheduled for December 22nd against Madison Parish High School

The Rayville high school basketball team is led by veteran Coach James Smith. The team consists of thirteen players, all of whom are seniors. The starting lineup includes:

--shooting guard Mark Brown
--small forward Darnell Williams
--Power Forward Antonio Green
-Center: Jamal Jones
The team’s leading scorer is shooting guard Mark Brown, who averages twenty points per game The team’s primary ball handler is point guard Derrick Johnson, who averages five assists per game

Coach’s corner
The Rayville High School men’s basketball team is currently coached by Josh Walton. The team’s assistant coaches are Darryl Davenport and Charles Kendrick. The Head Coach of the women’s team is Tim Hinton.
The school’s colors are green and gold. The men’s and women’s teams both play in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 4A division.

The Rayville High school Hornets Basketball team has a long tradition of excellence, dating back to the 1950s. The team has won numerous State Championships and produced numerous NBA players The Hornets compete in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSA) and play their home games at the Rayville high school Gymnasium.
