Introduction

The 2015 Major League Baseball season is rapidly approaching, and with it comes the promise of another exciting year of America’s Favorite Pastime For fans of the Baltimore Orioles this season will be especially noteworthy, as the team looks to build on last year’s success and make a run at the World Series

While every game on the Orioles’ schedule is worth watching, there are certain matchups that stand out as must-see affairs. Below is a list of five of the most anticipated games on Baltimore’s 2015 schedule. Be sure to catch them all!

1. Orioles vs. Red Sox April 10-12
The Orioles begin their 2015 campaign with a three-game series against division rivals the Boston Red Sox This will be the first time these two teams have faced off since last year’s ALDS, which saw Baltimore come out victorious in a thrilling four-game set. With both teams expected to contend for the AL pennant again this season, this opening series could set the tone for the entire year.

2. Orioles vs. Yankees, May 5-7
There is no more iconic rivalry in baseball than that between the Orioles and the New York Yankees These two teams have been squaring off for over a century, and their annual battles always seem to bring out the best (and worst) in both clubs. The three-game set in early May will be especially intriguing this year, as it will mark the first time new Yankee star slugger Giancarlo Stanton will take on his former rivals from Baltimore. Don’t miss it!

3. Orioles vs Nationals, June 16-18
The battle for supremacy in the Beltway resumes in mid-June, as the crosstown rival Nationals come to town for a three-game set. The Nationals have been one of baseball’s best teams over the past few years, but they have yet to breakthrough and win a World Series title. Could this be their year? If so, they’ll need to go through Baltimore first – something that has proven to be no easy task in recent years

4., 5., 6., & 7.:Orioles Home Stand Against Toronto Blue Jays (July 31 – August 2) & Kansas City Royals (August 3 – 6) These two home stands feature some of Baltimore’s stiffest competition from last year en route to their AL East title. First up are the Toronto Blue Jays who made waves last offseason by adding several high-profile players to their already strong roster. The Kansas City Royals follow close behind, as they come to town fresh off their Cinderella run to last year’s World Series title. Don’t miss your chance to see two of baseball’s best teams square off against Baltimore this August!
