With the college baseball season in Full Swing Rider’s team is off to a strong start. The Broncs are currently 12-5 and have won eight of their last ten games. They are sure to be a force to reckon with in the MAAC this year. Below is a list of some key games to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
conference game @ Manhattan – Friday, April 5th
This will be the first conference game of the season for Rider, and it will be a good test to see where they stand in the MAAC. Manhattan is always a tough team, so this will be a good measuring stick for the Broncs.
Rutgers – Monday, April 8th
Rutgers is always a tough team, and they will be looking to get revenge after losing to Rider last year. This should be a great game between two solid teams.
Conference game vs Quinnipiac – Friday, April 12th
This conference matchup should be a good one. Quinnipiac is always near the top of the MAAC standings so this will be a good test for Rider.
The Team’s Schedule
The Rider University baseball team will play thirty-six games in the 2020 season. The Broncs will open their season with a three-game series against Big East foe Marquette University on February 14-16. Other three-game series include home games against Pittsburgh (March 13-15) and Georgetown (April 3-5) and away games at Butler (March 20-22) and Xavier (May 15-17). Rider will also play single games against crosstown rival Princeton University on April 14 and at defending National Champion Vanderbilt on March 31.

March:
The season kicks off on March 1st with a Home game against NJIT.
On March 3rd and 4th, the Broncs will take on Hofstra in a two-game series at home.
Rider will travel to Florida for a five-game tournament from March 8th-12th. They will take on Florida Atlantic Ohio State and South Florida while down south.
The team returns home for a three-game series against Quinnipiac from March 16th-18th.
April:
Rider begins the month of April with another tournament, this time in Connecticut. They will play four games against Hartford, UConn, and Central Connecticut
On April 13th, the Broncs host Monmouth in what is sure to be an exciting game.
A 10-game road stretch starts on April 20th with a three-game series at Sacred Heart The team then travels to Saint Peter’s before returning home for a three-game series against Siena from May 4th-6th.
