Born in Detroit, Michigan, Rob grew up in a tough neighborhood. His father was incarcerated when he was just a baby, and his mother struggled to make ends meet. When Rob was eight years old, his mother died of a drug overdose.
This tragedy could have easily derailed Rob’s life, but he was determined to make something of himself. He poured his energy into basketball and quickly developed into a top-tier player. After high school he was offered scholarships to several colleges, but he decided to forego college and declare for the NBA draft
Rob was not drafted, but he did not give up on his dream of playing in the NBA. He spent a year playing professionally in Europe before finally getting his chance to play in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers

Rob Jones dreamed of playing basketball for Duke University ever since he was a Young Boy growing up in a small town in North Carolina He worked hard to become the best player he could be, and his hard work paid off when he was recruited to play for Duke.
As a college basketball player Rob Jones was one of the best in the country. He helped lead Duke to a National Championship and he was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. After his junior year, Rob decided to forgo his senior year of eligibility and declare for the NBA Draft
Rob was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs and went on to have a successful career in the NBA. He won a championship with the Spurs, and he played for several other teams during his 11-year career.

He worked hard to put on muscle, and he made an immediate impact as a rookie, starting all 82 games for the Washington Wizards and averaging 13 points per game He’s become one of the best players in the league, and he’s helped lead the Wizards to playoff appearances in each of his first four seasons.
