The Team’s History

The Sam Houston State University baseball team has a rich history dating back to its formation in 1913. The team has seen many ups and downs over the years, but is currently enjoying a period of success.

The team’s first big success came in the form of winning the Texas State championship in 1921. This was followed by another state championship in 1925. The team then went on to win the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I championship in 1929.

The Team’s Success

Since Sam Houston joined Division 1 baseball in 1986, the team has seen success at varying levels.
