2019 University of Houston Baseball Schedule Important Games

The 2019 University of Houston Baseball Schedule is set. The Cougars will play 56 regular season games, with 27 of those games to be played at Schroeder Park – their home venue. Below are some important games on the schedule.

Conference Play:
The Cougars compete in the American Athletic Conference and will play 20 conference opponents during the regular season Conference foes include: UConn, USF, Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulane, ECU, and Wichita State

Out of Conference Match-ups:
In addition to their conference slate, the Cougars will also play non-conference opponents such as Texas A&M (February 26th-March 1st), Baylor (March 5th), Sam Houston State (March 19th), Oklahoma (April 2nd-4th), Prairie View A&M (April 16th), and Rice (May 7th-9th).

2019 University of Houston Baseball schedule Rival Games

The University of Houston will open the 2019 season at home against Maine on Feb. 15. It will be the Cougars’ first game under new Head Coach Todd Whitting, who was hired last summer to replace Dave Tomlin.

The Cougars will play their first conference series of the season at home against South Florida from March 8-10. The rest of their American Athletic Conference schedule includes series against Memphis (March 22-24), Tulsa (April 5-7), Connecticut (April 12-14), Wichita State (April 26-28) and Central Florida (May 10-12). The Aac Tournament will be held from May 22-26 in Clearwater, Florida.

Houston’s non-conference schedule includes games against Texas Tech (Feb. 19), Lamar (Feb. 20-21), Rice (Feb. 25), Texas State (March 1), Stanford (March 2-3), Sam Houston State (March 5), Baylor (March 27) and Lamar (April 16).

The University of Houston will televise 25 of its 56 regular-season games during the 2019 season, highlighted by 17 contests on AT&T SportsNet Southwest – the home of Cougar Baseball – and four games that will air nationally on ESPN networks, as announced by the American Athletic Conference and the University of Houston department of athletics on Wednesday.

The 2019 University of Houston baseball schedule has been announced and the Cougars will open the season with a three-game series at home against Prairie View A&M on Feb. 15-17.

The first month of the season features eight home games including a Feb. 26 tilt against crosstown rival Rice, as well as games against San Diego State (March 1-3), Washington (March 8-10) and Ole Miss (March 22-24). Other notable home matchups include Sam Houston State (April 9), Incarnate Word (April 16), Tulane (May 10-12) and Memphis (May 17-19).

Road trips during the non-conference portion of the schedule include stops at Texas A&M Corpus Christi (Feb. 19-21), UTSA (March 5-7), Lamar (March 29-31) and regional foe Texas Tech (April 2-4).

In conference play the Cougars will face every team in The American Athletic Conference at least once and have home series against UConn, USF, ECU and Cincinnati. Road trips in league play include visits to Temple, Wichita State Tulane and UCF.
