The Boston Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox are an American professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Red Sox compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) East division. The Red Sox have won nine World Series championships, tied for the third-most of any MLB team, and they have played in 13. Their most recent appearance and win was in 2018.
The Boston Braves
The Boston Braves were a professional Baseball Team that played in the National League from 1876 to 1953, before relocating to Milwaukee, where they are now known as the Milwaukee Brewers The Braves played in Boston from 1876 to 1952 and played their home games at Fenway Park which is also the home of the Boston Red Sox The Braves won the World Series in 1914, making them the first baseball team to win a World Championship in Boston.
The Worcester Tornadoes
The Worcester Tornadoes are a minor League Baseball team that plays in the Can-Am League. The team is based in Worcester, Massachusetts, and their home games are played at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. The Tornadoes were founded in 1998 as the New Haven Ravens, and they played their home games in New Haven, Connecticut. In 2006, the Ravens ceased operations, and the franchise was sold to new owners who moved the team to Worcester and renamed them the Tornadoes.
The Worcester Tornadoes have never won a League Championship but they have made the playoffs several times. In 2010, they won the Can-Am League’s regular season championship, but they lost to the Sussex Skyhawks in the playoffs.
The Cape Cod baseball League
The Cape Cod baseball league is one of the premier amateur baseball leagues in the country. Every summer, top college players from around the country descend on Cape Cod to play in front of packed crowds and hone their skills in preparation for a professional career.
The league is comprised of 10 teams, each representing a different town on Cape Cod The teams are the Bourne Braves, Brewster Whitecaps, Chatham Anglers, Cotuit Kettleers, Falmouth Commodores, Harwich Mariners, Hyannis Harbor Hawks, Orleans Firebirds, Wareham Gatemen and Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox
Each team plays a 40-game regular season schedule, with games typically occurring every night from late June through early August. The top four teams in the standings advance to the playoffs, with the winners of the semi-final games squaring off in a best-of-three Championship Series
The Cape Cod baseball league has a long and storied history dating back to 1885, and it has been home to numerous future Major League Baseball stars over the years. If you’re lucky enough to be on Cape Cod during the summer, make sure to catch a game – you won’t be disappointed!
The Brockton Rox
The Brockton Rox are one of the best baseball teams in the South End. They have a strong lineup of players and a great Coaching Staff They play their home games at Campanelli Stadium, and they are always a force to be reckoned with on the field. The North Shore Navigators are a professional baseball team based in Lynn, Massachusetts, in the United States The Navigators compete in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL), and play their Home Games at Fraser Field.
The team is composed of college baseball players from around the country who are not yet eligible for major league baseball Many of the players on the team have gone on to play Major League Baseball including Jon Lester, Daniel Bard, Anthony Rizzo and Mike Minor
The Navigators were founded in 1999 as the North Shore Spirit, and were members of the Canadian-American Association of professional baseball (Can-Am League) from 1999-2002. The team was then known as the Seacoast Mavericks from 2003-2005, before becoming the North Shore Navigators in 2006.
The Navigators have won two FCBL championships, in 2010 and 2012.
The Pittsfield Suns
The Pittsfield Suns are a minor league baseball team that plays in the Futures League. The team is based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and plays its home games at Wahconah Park. The Suns are the affiliate of the Boston Red Sox
The team was founded in 2013 as the North Adams SteepleCats and played its home games at Joe Wolfe Field in North Adams, Massachusetts. In 2016, the SteepleCats moved to Pittsfield and were renamed the Suns.
The Suns made it to the playoffs in their first season in Pittsfield but lost in the semifinal round. The following year, they made it to the Championship Series but lost to the Worcester Bravehearts.
In 2019, the Suns won the Futures League Championship defeating the Bravehearts in a rematch of the previous year’s championship series.
The Holyoke Blue Sox
The Holyoke Blue Sox are a Minor League Baseball team that represents the cities of Holyoke and Chicopee, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the short-season Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Boston Red Sox They play their home games at Mackenzie Stadium.
The Blue Sox began play in 1947 as a charter member of the New England League. They were one of four teams to break off from the Canadian-American League (Can-Am) to form the new league; the others were the Manchester Zombies, Pittsfield Electrics, and Sanford Mainers. The Blue Sox won the first two championships in league history, in 1947 and 1948. In 1949, the Blue Sox joined the Eastern League as part of a merger between the two leagues, and won another championship in their first season after moving up.
The Westfield Star-Spangled Banner
The Westfield Star-Spangled Banner is a historic Baseball Team that was founded in 1858. The team is based in the South End of Boston, and it is one of the oldest and most successful teams in the city. The team has won five World Series titles, and it is considered to be one of the best baseball teams in history.
The New Bedford Bay Sox
The New Bedford Bay Sox are a minor league baseball team in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the South Atlantic League and plays its home games at Paul Walsh Field. The Bay Sox are the only professional Baseball team in New Bedford, and have been in operation since 1987.
