TVCC Basketball: A Team on the Rise

For the first time in years, the TVCC men’s basketball team is a force to be reckoned with. With a new Head Coach and some key transfers, the team is off to a hot start and looks to be one of the better teams in the conference.

Led by sophomore guard Payton Dastrup, the team is averaging over 80 points per game and has already wins against some of the better teams in the conference. Dastrup, who was named the conference player of the week, is averaging over 20 points per game and is shooting an impressive 50% from three-point range

The team has also gotten strong contributions from its big men junior college transfer Jordan Ford and freshman center Zach Harvey. Ford, who is 6’8”, is averaging a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds per game Harvey, who is 6’11”, is providing some much-needed size inside and is averaging 8 points and 8 rebounds per game

With a balanced attack and a lot of talent, the TVCC men’s Basketball team looks like one of the teams to beat in the conference this year.

The History of TVCC Basketball

TVCC Basketball is a team on the rise. In recent years they’ve consistently been one of the top teams in their conference, and they’re only getting better. But how did they get here? Let’s take a look at the history of TVCC Basketball.

TVCC Basketball started out as a small club team in the late 1960s. They were mostly made up of students who loved basketball and wanted to compete against other colleges. In those early days, they didn’t have much success. But that all changed in the 1970s.

In the early 1970s, TVCC Basketball hired its first head coach Bill Resler. Coach Resler was a former player and coach at the University of Idaho. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Under his guidance, TVCC Basketball quickly became one of the best teams in their conference.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, TVCC Basketball experienced some success in the playoffs, but they were never able to win a conference championship That all changed in 1986. Led by Head Coach Larry Nielson, TVCC Basketball won their first Conference Championship They followed that up with another championship in 1987.

since then, TVCC Basketball has been one of the top teams in their conference. They’ve won numerous championships and made several appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament In recent years they’ve even earned national rankings. There’s no doubt that TVCC Basketball is a team on the rise!

The Current State of TVCC Basketball

TVCC Basketball is a team on the rise. After several years of struggling, the team has made great strides in recent years and is now considered one of the Top Teams in the state.

Led by Head coach Tony Brown the team has made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons and is coming off a year in which it won a share of the conference title

The team’s success is due in large part to its strong defense. TVCC allows just under 60 points per game ranking it among the best in the state.

Offensively, TVCC is led by guard Jordan Botelho, who averaged 16 points per game last season. Botelho is joined by a strong supporting cast that includes forwards Caleb Johnson and Nick Thompson.

With its experience and talent, TVCC is poised for another successful season and is a team to watch in the coming years.
