University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball is looking to make a run in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament this week after a historic regular season

The tournament, which begins on Wednesday, May 23, will be held at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida.

UAPB is the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will face No. 5 seed Alabama State in the first round. The game is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. CT.

If UAPB wins its first-round game, it will face either No. 1 seed Southern or No. 8 seed Jackson State in the second round on Thursday, May 24.

This will be UAPB’s seventh appearance in the SWAC tournament since joining the conference in 1995. The Golden Lions have a 3-6 record in the tournament, with their last win coming in 2015 when they defeated Grambling State 9-8 in 11 innings in the first round.
