Notable Omissions

With the 2022 USA U18 Hockey Roster being announced today, there are a few notable omissions. First and foremost is defenseman Owen Power who was widely expected to be a lock for the team. The Mississauga, Ontario native is currently in his freshman season with Michigan and has two goals and four assists in 18 games.

NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey

The tournament was created in 1948, making it the oldest tournament in all of college hockey The NCAA conducts this tournament annually and it is currently broadcast on ESPNU.

International ice hockey Federation

The International ice hockey Federation (IIHF) is the governing body for international ice hockey It was founded in 1908 and has since grown to include 76 member countries. The IIHF oversees the sport at both the junior and senior levels, including the highly competitive IIHF World Championships

Every four years, the IIHF World Junior Championship is held to determine the best under-18 Hockey Team in the world. The tournament is held in December and January, and features the top junior Hockey Players from around the globe.

The USA U18 team is the National Team that represents the United States in international competitions for players under the age of 18.
