UTSA basketball scores Big in Season Opener
The UTSA men’s Basketball team scored big in their Season Opener defeating the Houston Cougars 92-64. The win marks the largest margin of victory for the Roadrunners in program history.
Led by senior guard Jhivvan Jackson’s 30 points, UTSA shot a program-record 62.5 percent from the field, including an impressive 16-of-28 from beyond the arc. The Roadrunners’ hot shooting was too much for the Cougars to handle, as Houston could only muster 36.4 percent shooting from the field and 5-of-27 shooting from three-point range
UTSA’s defense was also stellar, holding Houston to just 0.74 points per possession while forcing 18 turnovers. The Roadrunners will look to build on this impressive performance as they continue their season on the road against Lamar on November 12th.

The UTSA men’s basketball team started off their season with a Big Win against St. Mary’s University on November 6th. The UTSA Women’s Basketball team scored big in their Season Opener against the University of New Mexico Lobos The Roadrunners won by a final score of 71-59, with Junior Guard Antoinette Taylor leading the way with 21 points. This is a huge win for the Roadrunners, as they look to build on their success from last season.

UTSA Basketball Roster
The UTSA Roadrunners men’s basketball team is the intercollegiate men’s Basketball Program that represents the University of Texas at San Antonio The Roadrunners compete in Conference USA of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and play their home games at the Convocation Center on the university’s main campus in San Antonio Texas.
The UTSA Roadrunners basketball team has seen a lot of success in recent years The team has won Conference USA regular season titles in 2013 and 2014, and made it to the NCAA tournament in 2014. The team is coached by Steve Henson, who took over for Tim Floyd in 2012.
The Roadrunners have had a number of successful players in recent years including point guard Melvin Johnson III, who was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, and forward Jeromie Hill, who was named Conference USA Newcomer of the Year in 2013.

The University of Texas at San Antonio men’s basketball team tipped off its season in style on Friday Night cruising to a 93-64 victory over St. Mary’s University at the Convocation Center.
It was a dominant performance from start to finish for the Roadrunners, who never trailed in the game and led by as many as 32 points in the second half.
UTSA was paced by senior guard Keaton Wallace, who scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field, including 4-of-6 from three-point range. He also added four rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes of action.
Redshirt sophomore forward Byron Frohnen also had a strong outing, posting 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes off the bench.

In their Season Opener the UTSA Roadrunners Men’s Basketball team convincingly defeated the University of Incarnate Word Cardinals 92-64. The victory was a badly needed confidence booster for a team that is coming off of a disappointing 2017-2018 campaign in which they finished with a record of 12-19.
The game started off slow for both teams, with the score being tied at 10 apiece halfway through the first quarter. However, UTSA would soon heat up and take control of the game. By halftime, the Roadrunners had extended their lead to 14 points and cruised to an easy victory in the second half.
Leading the way for UTSA was SeniorForward Jeff Beverly, who tallied 21 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore Guard Jhivvan Jackson also had a strong game, scoring 19 points while dishing out 4 assists. The Roadrunners will look to build on this win as they take on Texas State in their next game on November 15th.
UTSA Basketball Camps
The UTSA Roadrunners men’s Basketball Team opened their season with a big win against the University of Texas at El Paso Miners. The game was held at the UTSA Convocation Center in San Antonio Texas on November 10, 2018. The final score was 85-65 in favor of the Roadrunners.
This was a great way to start the season for UTSA, who is coming off of a disappointing 2017-2018 campaign in which they only managed to win nine games. The team is hoping to build on this opening win and have a successful season
Head coach Steve Henson is entering his third season with the Roadrunners and has high hopes for his team. “We have a lot of talent and we’re excited about this group,” Henson said. “We’re looking forward to taking that next step as a program.”

In a highly anticipated match-up, the Roadrunners shone, winning by a score of 90-69. The team donned new gear for the game, including white jerseys with red and blue accents. The new look was a hit with fans, who packed the stands to show their support for the home team
