Wartburg Men’s Basketball Wins Conference Title

The Wartburg Men’s basketball team has won the conference title! This is their first title in 10 years.

The Wartburg Men’s Basketball team has won the conference title for the 2019-2020 Season This is their second consecutive title and third in the past four years. The team finished the regular season with a record of 21-5 overall and 15-3 in the conference.

Conference Title

The Wartburg men’s basketball team won the conference title on Tuesday night, defeating rival Luther College 85-74. It is the Knights’ first conference title in 25 years.

Wartburg guard Ben Dentlinger was named the tournament MVP after scoring a game-high 25 points in the Championship game Dentlinger was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Nate Woeste and Luke Neuenfeldt.

The Knights will now advance to the NCAA Division III tournament, where they will face off against Augustana College in the first round.

The Wartburg Men’s basketball team won the conference title this year! This is their second title in three years. The team has worked hard and overcome some tough challenges to get to this point. We are so proud of them and can’t wait to see what they do next!

Wartburg Men’s Basketball Conference

On Saturday, the Wartburg men’s basketball team won the Iowa Conference title for the second time in three years. The Knights defeated Luther College 80-74 in the Championship game which was held at Wartburg’s Neumann Gymnasium.

The Knights were led by junior guard Tyler Peterson, who scored a game-high 21 points. Peterson was named the Most Valuable Player of the Iowa conference tournament Senior forward Nate Woeste had 17 points and eight rebounds for Wartburg, while senior guard Austin Roering added 16 points.

The victory gave Wartburg an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III men’s Basketball Tournament The Knights will find out their first-round opponent when the tournament field is announced on Sunday.

The Wartburg Men’s basketball team is a Division III team that competes in the Iowa Conference. The team is led by Head Coach Matt Bollant, who is in his fourth season with the team. Under his leadership, the team has seen a dramatic turnaround, going from a 10-16 record in his first season to winning the conference title this year.

This season has been a special one for the Wartburg Men’s Basketball Team and their fans are sure to be cheering them on as they head into the NCAA tournament
