Women’s college basketball is back in Full Swing and there are plenty of talented players to watch out for this season. These five women’s basketball players from Pac-12 schools are sure to impress with their skills on the court.
Kiana Williams (Stanford)
A 5-foot-8-inch junior guard, Williams is a transfer from San Francisco who is expected to make an immediate impact for the Cardinal this season. She was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year in 2016 and led her team in scoring last season. Look for her to be a key player for Stanford as they compete for a spot in the NCAA tournament
Rae Burke (USC)
A 6-foot-3-inch senior forward, Burke is a three-time All-Pac 12 selection and was named to the preseason All-Pac 12 team again this year. She’s USC’s all-time leader in blocks and is one of the top rebounders in the conference. Burke will be a big presence on both ends of the court for the Trojans as they try to make a run at the Pac-12 title.
Kristine Anigwe (California)
A 6-foot-4-inch senior center, Anigwe is one of the most dominant players in women’s College Basketball She’s a two-time ESPNW National Player of the Year and was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year last season. Anigwe leads Cal in scoring and rebounding, and she will be key to their success this season as they look to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament
Maite Cazorla (Oregon)
A 5-foot-8 junior guard, Cazorla was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year last season after leading Oregon in assists and steals. She also averaged nearly 13 points per game while playing nearly 36 minutes per contest. Cazorla will be asked to do even more this season as Oregon tries to defend their Pac-12 title. Watch out for her dazzling passes and sharp shooting as she looks to lead Oregon back to the NCAA tournament Sabrina Ionescu (Oregon)The face of Oregon women’s basketball, Ionescu is a 5-foot 11 inch junior guard who is one of the most exciting players in all of College Basketball regardless of gender. A two-time All American, Ionescu is a triple double threat every time she steps on the court. In fact, she already has nine career triple doubles, which is an NCAA record. Ionescu leads Oregon in points, assists, and rebounds, and she will be looking to lead them back to glory this season en route to what could be her first Smith College Player of the Year Award

Ruthy Hebard, Oregon – Teaming up with Sabrina Ionescu once again, Hebard is a 6’4″ post player who averaged 17.2 points and 9.6 rebounds last season. She shot an astounding 62.2% from the field last year and is a beast on both ends of the court. Look for her to be a force to be reckoned with in the post this season as she try to lead Oregon to a Pac-12 title.
Kristine Anigwe, California – Anigwe is a 6’4″ senior who is coming off a monster junior season in which she averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game. She was named first team All-Pac-12 last year and is one of the most dominant low-post players in the country. With Anigwe leading the way, California will be a tough out for any team in the conference this season.
Maite Cazorla, Oregon – Cazorla is a 5’8″ guard who is coming off an impressive sophomore campaign in which she averaged 13 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds per game. She shot an efficient 40% from three-point range last year and has emerged as one of Oregon’s top playmakers. Cazorla will need to continue to be a steadying force for the Ducks if they want to make a run at the Pac-12 title this season.
Aari McDonald, Arizona – McDonald is a 5’6″ guard who led Arizona in scoring last season, averaging 17 points per game She also chipped in 3 assists and 3 rebounds per contest while shooting an impressive 39% from three-point range. McDonald has established herself as one of the premier scorers in the conference and will be counted on heavily by Arizona this season as they look to make some noise in the Pac-12 standings.

2. Satou Sabally (Oregon Ducks): Sabally is a 6’4″ forward from Berlin, Germany who is also a junior. She has been described as an “elite shooter” and will be one of Ionescu’s main offensive weapons this season.

Turner Thorne will have another talented team this season, led by junior guard Robbi Ryan (16 points per game).

-Moriah Jefferson, Connecticut: Jefferson is a two-time National Champion with Connecticut and is one of the best point guards in the country. The senior guard averaged 11.4 points, 5.2 assists and 3.8 steals per game last season and will be looked upon to lead Connecticut once again this season

She’s an electrifying player to watch and is definitely one of the frontrunners for National Player of the Year honors.

White is a junior guard who leads Arizona State in scoring at 17 Points per game She’s also shooting an impressive 50% from three-point range and 85% from the Free Throw Line White is a dynamic scorer who can get hot from deep and take over a game offensively. She’ll be key if Arizona State wants to contend for a Pac-12 title this season.
3. Alanna Smith, Stanford Cardinal
Smith is a senior forward who is one of the most versatile players in the conference. She averaged 17.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game as a junior, and her 2.24 blocks per game were second in the conference. Hebard was named an All-American by the Associated Press last season, and is a preseason All-American this year.

McDonald led the nation in scoring last season at 22.8 points per game and also averaged 4.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. The 5-foot-6 guard was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year last season, and is a preseason All-American this year. McDonald is diminutive but explosive, and is one of the best players in the country regardless of size.

A 6-foot-3 forward who can also play center, McLain averaged 15 points and 9.2 rebounds per game as a junior last season. She’s an excellent shooter from outside (36% from three-point range last season), but can also score inside with her size. McLain was named an All-Pac-12 honorable mention last season, and should be in line for a bigger role this year with Stanford losing some Key Players from last year’s team.

The 6-foot-1 Jones is a versatile player who can play both small forward and shooting guard She averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds per game as a junior last season while shooting 34% from three-point range. Jones is USC’s leading returning scorer from last season’s team that earned a berth in the NCAA tournament
