Game recaps

The Yeshiva University Maccabees men’s Basketball team played four games last week, winning three and losing one.

On Tuesday, the team played host to conference foe, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Sharks. The game was close throughout, but the Maccabees eventually came out on top, with a final score of 78-76. Moses Jillson led the way for Yeshiva, scoring 28 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

On Thursday, the team played CCNY at home. The Maccabees controlled the game from start to finish and won easily by a score of 92-64. Dovid Niederman led all scorers with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

The Maccabees travelled to Queens on Saturday to take on QC. The game was close in the first half, but QC pulled away in the second half to win by a score of 82-68. Herschel Kaplan was the leading scorer for Yeshiva with 16 points.

The team closed out its week with a Home game against Bronx Community College on Sunday afternoon. This one was also close throughout, but BCC could not keep up with the Maccabees in the end and Yeshiva won 75-69. Herschel Kaplan again led all scorers with 19 points while also grabbing 7 rebounds.”
