The 2012 Team USA Basketball is the basketball team that represented the United States in international competition during the 2012 Summer Olympics The team was assembled by USA Basketball which selected a roster of 12 players from the NBA and invited two more players to join them.

Love, Kevin 6-10 Forward UCLA/United States Love was named National Player of the Year as a junior at UCLA in 2009. He led the Minnesota Timberwolves to three straight playoff appearances from 2012 to 2014, averaging 26 points and 12 rebounds per game during that span. Love won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in 2012.

The 2012 United States men’s Olympic Basketball team commonly known as “Team USA”, won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The team’s head coach was Mike Krzyzewski, while Anthony Davis was the team’s only player with prior Olympic experience.

The team won its first seven games in the preliminary round of the tournament, before losing to Lithuania in its final game of the round.
