The 2017-2018 Penn basketball team is looking to build on the success of last year’s team. With a mix of experienced veterans and talented newcomers, the Quakers have the potential to be one of the best teams in the Ivy League

The core of the team will be led by senior center AJ Brodeur and junior guard Ryan Betley. Brodeur, a two-time All-Ivy League selection, is one of the best big men in the conference. He averaged 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season, and he should be even better this year. Betley, meanwhile, is one of the best shooters in the conference. He averaged 13.9 points per game last season and shot 41.5% from three-point range

The Quakers will also have a talented group of newcomers, including freshman forward Jordan Dingle and freshman guard Bryce Washington. Dingle was a highly-touted recruit who should be able to make an immediate impact on both ends of the court. Washington is a physical guard who has the potential to be a difference-maker on defense.

With a balanced mix of experience and youth, the 2017-2018 Penn basketball team has all the pieces in place to have a successful season
