As the season comes to a close, there are many things to reflect upon. One big thing being the amazing season that our Penn Women’s basketball team just had. They had an incredible record of 21-7 and went 12-2 in conference play They made it to the WNIT quarterfinals and proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. 1) The team is full of hard workers that not only want to win on the court, but also excel in the classroom. All eight seniors on the team graduated this year and five of them did so with honors. Two players were even named to the Academic All-Ivy League team.

2) The Coaching Staff is phenomenal. Coach McLaughlin is approaching her 30th year of coaching and her experience really shows through in the way she leads her team. She has been named Coach of the Year four times and has taken her team to 14 NCAA Tournaments.

3) The basketball community at Penn is supportive and great at coming together. Despite having a smaller following than some of our other sports teams the fans that do come out to games are vocal and create an electric atmosphere.
