Brad Davis is a professional basketball player who was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. He played college basketball at the University of Connecticut before being drafted into the NBA by the Indiana Pacers in 2001. Davis has played for several NBA teams throughout his career, including the Charlotte Bobcats Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers. He is currently a free agent

NBA Career

Davis began his NBA Career with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1981. He played sparingly as a rookie, appearing in only 28 games. After two seasons with the Lakers, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks where he became a regular starter and enjoyed his most successful years as a pro. He averaged 16 points per game during his six seasons in Atlanta. In 1988, Davis was dealt to the Golden State Warriors where he averaged 13 points per game over the course of two seasons before being traded to the New Jersey Nets in 1990. He would finish his playing career with brief stints with the Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks

Brad Davis played high school basketball at Westhill high school in Stamford, Connecticut. He was a three-year starter and helped lead his team to two State Championships As a senior, he was named All-State and was the captain of the team. He also played AAU Basketball for the Fairfield County Jaguars.

After high school Davis attended Hofstra University where he played four years of basketball. He finished his college career as Hofstra’s all-time leader in assists and steals. He was also named Hofstra’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior.

College Career

Brad Davis had a successful college career, playing for Duke University from 2001 to 2005. He helped the team to the National Championship in 2001 and was named captain in his senior year. He was drafted into the NBA in 2005 and has played for the Los Angeles Lakers the Houston Rockets and the New Orleans Pelicans

Professional Career

After being undrafted out of college, Davis began his professional career with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA G League appearing in 24 games and averaging 8.3 points, 4.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 34.4 minutes per game before being acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans on December 19, 2017. Davis made his Nba Debut on December 23, 2017, playing two minutes against the Brooklyn Nets He scored his first NBA points on December 31, 2017, against the Detroit Pistons
