Pitchers
The pitching staff is anchored by two seniors, ace starter Matt Dundore and closer Evan Beal. Dundore is a four-year starter who has been one of the best pitchers in the Ivy League over his career. Beal has been one of the best closers in the country over the last two years and has already set the school record for saves.

Other key pitchers include junior right-hander Kyle MacDonald who was outstanding in limited action last year, and sophomore left-hander Chris Perry, who was one of the top recruits in the country coming out of High School

Catchers
The Browns have two experienced catchers in senior captain Dylan Brooks and junior Tim DeGraw. Brooks is a two-year starter who has been an All-Ivy League selection each of the last two years. DeGraw started 27 games as a freshman and hit .294 with four home runs and 17 RBIs. He is expected to be one of the top power hitters in the Ivy League this season.

Infielders
The Browns have a strong infield led by senior first baseman Kris Kent and junior second baseman Connor Lee. Kent was an All-Ivy selection last year after hitting .308 with four home runs and 32 RBIs. Lee was also an All-Ivy selection last year after hitting .333 with three home runs and 29 RBIs. He is one of the Top Defensive second basemen in the country.

Outfielders
The outfield features a mix of experience and young talent. Senior OF Mike Brown is a three-year starter who hit .276 with two Home Runs and 20 RBIs last year. Junior OF Dan Clark hit .302 with four home runs and 30 RBIs last year while playing all three field positions SophomoreOF Steve Palladino provides a spark at the top of the lineup with his speed and athleticism.

Heading into the 2019 season, the Bears will be looking to build on that success and make a run at the NCAA tournament Here’s a look at the Brown Baseball Roster for 2019 and what to expect from each player.

Pitchers

Johnny Re struck out 96 batters in 93 innings pitched last season and will be the ace of the pitching staff in 2019. The senior from California will look to lead the Bears to another Ivy League title this season.

Outfielders

In the outfield, senior telescoped slugger Josh Huntley will be looking to build on his strong 2018 campaign in which he hit 10 home runs and drove in 37 runs. He’ll be joined by junior Michael Wooten and sophomore James Wood, who both saw significant time in the outfield last season.

Pitchers
The pitching staff will be led by senior co-captain Max Scherzer who had a breakout year last season and was named First Team All-Ivy. He will be joined by another senior co-captain, Mike Powers, who missed most of last season with an injury but is healthy and ready to go this year. The rest of the staff includes junior Mark Sowers (who was also named First Team All-Ivy last season), sophomore Matt Boyce, and freshmen Brian Doran and Tim Myers.

Catchers
The catchers are led by junior Dan Ruffolo, who did an excellent job behind the plate last season. He will be backed up by sophomore transfer student Mike Maynard.

Infielders
The Brown infield features a nice mix of experience and youth. The corner infield spots will be anchored by seniors Steve Daniels (first base) and Jon Greenberg (third base). Both are experienced veterans who have been leaders on previous Brown teams. The middle infield positions will be manned by junior Nick Lerner (second base) and freshman Greg Rybczynski (shortstop).
