The Clemson Tigers are coming off a very successful 2018 season in which they won the ACC regular season title and made it to the NCAA tournament They will be looking to build on that success in 2019 and are primed to make another deep run in the tournament.
The team is led by junior outfielder Seth Beer, who is widely considered one of the best players in college baseball He is a two-time All-American and was named the National Player of the Year in 2018 after hitting .298 with 22 home runs and 58 RBIs. He will once again be the key player for the Tigers this season.
The pitching staff is also very strong, led by sophomore right-hander Tanner Burns. He was named ACC Pitcher of the Year last season after going 10-4 with a 2.55 ERA. He will be joined by fellow sophomore Riley Gilliam, who was also very successful last season out of the bullpen.

The Tigers have won 5 National Championships and made 27 appearances in the College World Series Under Head Coach Monte Lee the Tigers have won 3 consecutive ACC regular season championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first 3 seasons. In 2018, Clemson won a school record 55 games en route to its 4th consecutive ACC tournament title and another trip to Omaha.
The Clemson baseball program has produced many Major League Baseball stars, including Mike Mussina, Kris Benson, Jeff Baker, Brad Wilkerson, Brian Dunkleman, and Jay Bell In recent years several Clemson baseball players have been selected in the first round of the MLB Draft including pitcher Daniel Gossett (2014), shortstop Chris Okey (2016), and outfielder Seth Beer (2018).
The Team
The Clemson University baseball team is a Division I college Baseball Team representing Clemson University in the Atlantic Coast Conference The team participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division I Baseball Tournament Held every year since 1947, The tournament culminates with the College World Series a double-elimination tournament to determine the National Champion of Collegiate Baseball The Tigers have appeared in five College World Series winning the National Championship in 1958 and 2016.
The Schedule

The defending ACC Regular Season champions will play 56 games in 2019, 27 at home and 29 on the road. The Tigers will face eight teams that qualified for the 2018 NCAA tournament including three that made it to the College World Series
Clemson will open the season with a three-game series at home against Wright State from February 15-17. The Tigers then hit the road for a four-game series at South Carolina from February 22-24. Clemson’s first ACC series will be at home against Florida State from March 1-3.

The Coaching Staff is led by head coach Monte Lee, who is entering his fifth season at Clemson. He has assembled a group of assistant coaches who are equally committed to helping the team reach its full potential.
The team plays its home games at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, one of the finest facilities in all of college baseball The stadium underwent a major renovation prior to the start of the 2016 season, and it now features chairback seating for more than 4,000 fans, a state-of-the-art video board, and much more.
Clemson has a rich tradition in baseball, and the program has produced many Great players over the years. The Coaches
The Clemson baseball team is coached by Head Coach Monte Lee and Assistant coaches Bradley LeCroy, Andrew See, and Matt Crownover.
Lee is entering his fourth season as Head coach of the Clemson Tigers He has led the team to an NCAA regional appearance in each of his first three seasons.
Clemson made it to the College World Series in 2015 under head coach Jack Leggett Leggett retired after the 2015 season, and Lee was hired as his replacement.
Lee played college baseball at The Citadel from 1991-1994.
The Media
The media has releases their 2018 All-American teams and three Clemson Tigers have been named to first team. outfielder Seth Beer, second baseman Jordan Greene and pitcher Ryley Gilliam were all named to the 2018 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division I All-American first team. It is the second year in a row that Beer has been a first-team All-American as he was also named to the 2017 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division I team.
