DVC Basketball is a college basketball team that competes in Division III of the NCAA. The team is a member of the Hudson Valley Athletic Conference and plays its home games at the physical education Center on the campus of Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

What is DVC Basketball?

DVC Basketball is a collegiate Basketball League comprising of Division III schools in the United States The league was founded in 2013 with the aim of providing opportunities for smaller schools to compete against each other at a high level.

There are currently eight teams in the DVC: Amherst College, Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, and Tufts University.

Each team plays a total of 16 games in the regular season with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs are a single-elimination tournament, with the winner being crowned the DVC Champion.

The DVC Champion then goes on to compete in the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament

How can I try out for the DVC Basketball team?

In order to try out for the DVC Basketball team you must first meet the following requirements:
-You must be a full-time student at DVC
-You must have a 2.0 GPA or higher
-You must be enrolled in 12 or more units
-You must have completed 20% of your degree or certificate program

If you meet all of the above requirements, you will then need to complete the following steps:
-Complete the online athletic clearance process through RegisterMyAthlete.com
-Submit a completed physical examination form to the Athletics office prior to the first day of practice
-Pay the $20 Athletic Clearance fee

How can I improve my skills for DVC Basketball?

DVC Basketball is a competitive Basketball league for students in the Diablo Valley College community. The league is open to all students, regardless of skill level. anyone can join and compete.

There are two ways to join DVC Basketball:
-through college intramurals, or
-by becoming a member of a DVC basketball team

If you want to join through college intramurals, you must first sign up through the college’s intramural website. After you sign up, you will be placed on a team with other students who have signed up for intramurals. You will then play in games against other teams in the DVC Basketball League

If you want to become a member of a DVC Basketball team you can try out for any team that is looking for new players. Tryouts are typically held before the start of each semester. You can also create your own team by finding other students who are interested in playing on a team together.

What are the requirements to play DVC Basketball?

In order to be eligible to play DVC Basketball, you must:

-Be enrolled in at least 12 units
-Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
-Be in good standing with the college
-Have completed 24 units of college level work
-Meet all eligibility requirements set forth by the CCCAA and DVC

What is the DVC Basketball schedule?

The Disney Villains Classic is a preseason Basketball Tournament hosted by the Walt Disney Company. The tournament was first held in 2019, and it features eight Division I college basketball teams.

The 2020 Disney Villains Classic will be held on November 25-27 at the HP Field House in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The teams competing in the 2020 Disney Villains Classic are: Auburn, Boston College Clemson, Connecticut, Gonzaga, Michigan State Oklahoma State and Saint Mary’s.

The tournament format for the 2020 Disney Villains Classic will feature four games on Tuesday and Wednesday (November 25-26), with two semifinal games on Thursday (November 27). The Championship game will take place on Friday (November 28).

The Auburn Tigers are the defending champions of the Disney Villains Classic, after defeating the Boston College Eagles in the 2019 Championship game
