The Fort Lewis College men’s Basketball Program has a long and storied history. The team has been in existence since 1908, and has won 12 conference titles and made 10 NCAA Division II tournament appearances. Fort Lewis Basketball: The Schedule

Fort Lewis College men’s and women’s basketball each have 20 home games this season at Whalen Gymnasium. The men’s team will play 10 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference home games while the women will host eight RMAC games and two nonconference contests.

Fort Lewis College’s men’s Basketball team is made up of 15 student-athletes from around the United States Head Coach Matt McKnight enters his fourth season at the helm of the program in 2018-19.

The roster includes five seniors, four juniors, three sophomores and three freshmen. The seniors are Jaylen Crocker (San Antonio Texas), Matt Johnson (Aurora, Colorado), Tre James (Mesquite, Texas), Mike Provenzano (Newark, California) and Nate Walsh (Plano, Texas).

Juniors include Johneil Simpson (Toronto, Ontario), Austin French (Englewood, Colorado), Josh Wilmore (Olathe, Kansas) and Kaleb Mitchell (Arvada, Colorado).

Sophomores are Isaiah Diggs (Palmdale, California), Jordan Johnson (Lakewood, Colorado) and Luke Michelson (Parker, Colorado).

Freshmen on the roster are Deion James (Mesquite, Texas), Dylan James (Mesquite, Texas) and Sam Menke(Cincinnati, Ohio).

Fort Lewis Basketball: The Coaches

Fort Lewis Basketball is a team that competes in NCAA Division II. The team is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). The Fort Lewis men’s basketball team has won two RMAC regular season titles and one RMAC tournament title. The women’s team has won one RMAC regular season title.

The current head coach of the men’s team is Tyler Geving, who was hired in April of 2016. Prior to coming to Fort Lewis, Geving was an Assistant Coach at the University of Minnesota He has also been an assistant coach at North Dakota State University and Concordia College

Jody Gerut is the current Head Coach of the women’s team. Gerut was hired in May of 2016. Prior to coming to Fort Lewis, Gerut was the Head coach at Colorado Mesa University. She has also been an assistant coach at the University of Wyoming and Northeastern junior college

Fort Lewis College men’s and women’s basketball fans have a lot to be excited about this season! The Skyhawks are moving into a brand new arena on campus, the Rae Education Center. The $32 Million Dollar facility will seat nearly 4,000 fans and will be one of the finest arenas in NCAA Division II basketball.

Fort Lewis College men’s and women’s Basketball Tickets are available for purchase online or by calling the FLC Box Office at 970-247-7657. Tickets are also available at the door, but we recommend buying in advance as games often sell out. Fort Lewis college students (with a valid student ID) get in free to all home games

General Admission seating is first-come, first-serve. Doors open one hour prior to tip-off. For our disabled guests, we have four designated seating areas in the gymnasium which can be accessed by ramp on the South Side of the building. Please see an event staff member upon arrival and they will be happy to assist you.

What to Wear
There is no dress code at Fort Lewis basketball games but most fans dress casually. You’ll see a lot of jeans and sweatshirts. It can get cold in Durango during Basketball season so it’s always a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater just in case.

Getting Tickets
Tickets for Fort Lewis basketball games can be purchased online or at the door on game day If you buy your tickets in advance, they will be cheaper than if you wait until game day However, ticket prices are still very reasonable even on game day. General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors citizens aged 55+.
