George Carl- His Life and Career
George Carl was born in 1936 in New York City He played basketball in High School and college, and was drafted into the NBA in 1959. He played for the New York Knicks for two years before being traded to the Chicago Bulls He played for the Bulls for four years, and then for the Baltimore Bullets for one year. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1967, and he played for them until 1968. He was then traded to the Seattle SuperSonics where he played until 1970. George Carl retired from basketball in 1970, and became a coach. He coached the SuperSonics from 1970 to 1973, and then coached the Kansas City Omaha Kings from 1974 to 1979. George Carl was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1986.
