AL Wild Card Standings
The American League Wild Card Game is a play-in game which was added to the Major League Baseball postseason in 1994. The two teams with the best records from each league who do not win a division play each other in a one-game playoff. The winner of this game goes on to play the team with the best record in the divisional series.
In 2019, the AL Wild Card Game will be played on October 2. The teams and their records are as follows:

AL East Standings
The AL East is shaping up to be a close race once again this season, with all five teams separated by just four games heading into the final week of the season. The Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays are currently tied for first place, with the New York Yankees just half a game back in third place. The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles round out the division, both five games back of the leaders.
With only a few days left in the season, anything could still happen. But one thing is for sure – it’s going to be an exciting finish to the 2019 MLB season in the AL East!
