The first game of the season is against University of Detroit Mercy on November 5th. This will be the first time these two teams have faced each other since 2014, when GSU won by a score of 84-66. The next game on the schedule is against Oakland University on November 10th. This will be the first time these two teams have played each other since 2015, when GSU won by a score of 92-84.
GSU will then have a stretch of games against some tough non-conference opponents. On November 17th, they will take on defending NCAA champions, Villanova University This will be followed by games against Saint Louis University (November 24th), Purdue University (December 1st), and University of Michigan (December 4th).
After a brief break for exams, the team will return to action on December 16th when they take on Youngstown State University They will then close out their non-Conference Schedule with a game against Wright State University on December 18th.

The GSU basketball schedule has been released and the Road to the NCAA Tournament is underway. The first game is against in-state rival Kennesaw State on November 6th. The team will then travel to Winston-Salem, NC to take on Wake Forest on November 10th. They return home for a three game homestand against Furman (11/13), South Carolina State (11/17), and Yale (11/20).
The team hits the road again for a three game stretch starting at SEC foe Vanderbilt on November 24th. They then travel to Nashville to take on Lipscomb on November 27th. The final game of the stretch is at Ohio State on December 1st. The team returns home for a meeting with in-state rival Georgia Tech on December 4th before embarking on a five game road trip.
The trip starts with a meeting at Clemson on December 8th. The team will then fly out west to take on Gonzaga in Spokane, WA on December 15th. After a short break for Christmas, the team reconvenes in Atlanta for a meeting with conference foe Florida on December 29th. They close out the road trip with games at Missouri (1/2) and Arkansas (1/5).
The team returns home for four of their next five games starting with a meeting with Alabama on January 9th. This is followed by games against Mississippi State (1/12), Ole Miss (1/16), and Tennessee (1/19). The final game of the stretch is at Kentucky on January 23rd.
The rest of the schedule features games against Auburn (1/26), Texas A&M (1/30), LSU (2/2), Appalachian State (2/6), South Carolina (2/9), UAB (2/13), and Georgia Tech (2/16). The final regular season game is at home against Virginia Tech on February 20th.

GSU basketball fans the wait is almost over! The final four teams in the NCAA tournament will be revealed this Sunday, and we know that the Panthers will be one of them. Here’s what you need to know about the schedule for the remainder of the tournament:
The first rounds of the tournament will be played on Thursday, March 15 and Friday, March 16. GSU will take on the winner of the play-in game between UNC Asheville and Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, March 16 at 4:00pm ET. If GSU wins that game, they will advance to the Round of 32 to take on either Kentucky or Kansas State on Sunday, March 18 at 2:00pm ET.
The Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games will be played on Thursday, March 22 and Saturday, March 24, respectively. If GSU makes it to the Sweet Sixteen they will take on the winner of the matchup between Louisville and Michigan State at 7:00pm ET on Thursday, March 22. If they win that game, they’ll advance to the Elite Eight to take on either Duke or Gonzaga at 5:00pm ET on Saturday, March 24.
Finally, the Final Four games will be played on Saturday, April 6 and the National Championship game will be played on Monday, April 8. The Panthers would have to win two more games in order to make it to Saturday’s Final Four matchup, but if they do make it that far, they would take on whoever emerges from the West region of the bracket (which includes schools like Arizona, Xavier and Wisconsin). The National Championship game would be played two days later at 9:00pm ET.
