Team information

The Hanover basketball team is a Division III college Basketball team that competes in the Patriot League The team is coached by Matt Gilmore and plays its home games at Alumni Gymnasium on the campus of Hanover College.

Game recaps

The Hanover basketball team defeated the John Hopkins Blue Jays 72-64 on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers opened the game on an 11-2 run and never looked back, leading by as many as 15 points in the first half. Hanover was able to maintain a comfortable lead throughout the second half, despite a late surge by John Hopkins. The Panthers were led by junior guard Ryan Cline, who scored a game-high 22 points. Senior forward Nate Owens added 14 points and eight rebounds, while junior guard Austin Douglas chipped in with 11 points. The win improves Hanover’s record to 3-1 on the season.

The Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host Earlham College. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.

The Hanover Panthers are a college basketball team that competes in the NCAA Division III The Panthers are members of the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). The team is currently coached by Tim Murphy.

As of the end of the 2019-20 season the Panthers have an all-time record of 567-560. The team has made one appearance in the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2009. The Panthers have also won four conference championships in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2009.

The Hanover basketball team is coached by Coachxxx. The team’s regular season runs from November through February. The team typically practices two to three times per week and competes in approximately 20 games during the season.

You can purchase tickets for all home basketball games online or at the door. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
