The High School basketball season is upon us and there are plenty of players to watch. Here are the top 5 players to keep an eye on this season:

1. Zion Williamson – The best player in the country, Williamson is a 6’7″ forward from Spartanburg, South Carolina He is a four-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 2 player in the ESPN 100.
2. RJ Barrett – Another 6’7″ forward, Barrett is from Mississauga, Canada and is the No. 1 player in the ESPN 100. He is a five-star recruit and has already committed to Duke University
3. Cameron Reddish – Reddish is a 6’8″ small forward from Norristown, Pennsylvania. He is ranked as the No. 3 player in the ESPN 100 and is a five-star recruit.
4. Bol Bol – The son of former NBA player Manute Bol Bol is a 7’2″ center from Olathe, Kansas. He is ranked as the No. 4 player in the ESPN 100 and has already committed to play at the University of Oregon next season.
5. Quentin Grimes – A 6’5″ shooting guard from Bradenton, Florida, Grimes rounds out the top 5 players to watch this season He is ranked as the No. 8 player in the ESPN 100 and will be playing his college ball at Kansas next season.

HSC Basketball: The Top 5 players to Watch This Season – Part 3

In part three of our series on the top high school basketball players to watch this season, we take a look at the top 5 players in the state of Pennsylvania.

Topping our list is JR Radziemski from Upper Merion high school Radziemski is a 6’8″ forward who has been receiving Division I interest from schools such as Penn State Pittsburgh, and Virginia Commonwealth.

Next on our list is Jalen Davenport from Westtown School. Davenport is a 6’11” center who has been receiving attention from several Ivy League schools, as well as some Mid-Major programs.

At number three is Lance Ware from Downingtown East high school Ware is a 6’9″ forward/center who has been getting looks from some high-major programs such as Duke, Kansas, and Louisville.

Fourth on our list is Owen Fay from Abington Friends School. Fay is a 6’3″ guard who has been hearing from several Division III schools, but has also received some interest from Division I programs such as Navy and Lehigh.

Rounding out our list at number five is Travis Aikens from Great Valley High School Aikens is a 6’6″ guard/forward who has been getting looks from several mid-major colleges.

HSC Basketball: The Top 5 players to watch this season – Part 4

As the HSC Basketball Season gets underway, there are a Number of players who will be looking to make a name for themselves. In Part 4 of our series, we take a look at the top 5 players to watch this season.

5. Josh Green – Guard/Forward – St. George’s College

Josh Green is one of the most versatile players in the HSC, and he will be looking to lead St. George’s College to a successful season Green is an excellent shooter, and he has the ability to take over a game on both ends of the floor.

4. Zion Williamson – Forward – Spartanburg Day School

Zion Williamson is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the country, and he will be looking to show why he is one of the best players in the HSC this season. Williamson is an explosive player who can score inside and out, and he is also an outstanding rebounder.

3. RJ Barrett – Guard – Montverde Academy

RJ Barrett is one of the best scorers in the country, and he will be looking to lead Montverde Academy to a Successful Season Barrett has unlimited range on his jump shot and he can also get to the basket with ease. Barrett is also an excellent defender, and he has the ability to take over a game on both ends of the floor.

2. Bol Bol – Center – Mater Dei High School

Bol Bol is one of the most unique players in the country, and he will be looking to lead Mater Dei High School to a successful season. Bol Bol is a 7-footer with unlimited range on his Jump Shot and he is also an excellent shot blocker and rebounder. Bol Bol has drawn comparisons to NBA superstar Kevin Durant and he has the potential to be one of the best players in the country this season.

In this final edition of our Top Players to watch this season, we will be looking at the top 5 players in the country. These are the cream of the crop and will be sure to make an impact on the college basketball scene this year.

5. Ben Simmons – LSU Tigers

Arguably the best player in the country, Simmons is a physical freak of nature and has the potential to be a once-in-a-generation type player. At 6’10”, he has the size of a Power Forward but the skillset of a point guard which makes him incredibly difficult to defend. He averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game last season, and with another year of experience under his belt, he should only get better. With Simmons leading the way, LSU is a contender for not only the SEC title but also for a National Championship

4. Skal Labissiere – Kentucky Wildcats

Another highly talented freshman, Labissiere is a 6’11” center who has amazing dexterity for his size. He is still raw offensively but has shown glimpses of greatness, such as his 28 point performance against Providence last season. He will need to be more consistent on a night-to-night basis if Kentucky is going to make a run at a National Championship but there is no doubt that he has the talent to do so.

3. Jamal Murray – Kentucky Wildcats

Murray is yet another talented freshman on Kentucky’s roster who has the potential to be special. A 6’4″ shooting guard from Canada, Murray is an elite scorer who can shoot from anywhere on the court. He averaged 20 points per game last season and shot nearly 50% from three-point range so there is no question that he can put up points in bunches. With his combination of size and skill, Murray has all the makings of a future NBA Star and could be one of the best players in college basketball this season.

2. Buddy Hield – Oklahoma Sooners

The reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, Hield is one of the most talented scorers in College Basketball and proved it last season when he averaged 25 points per game while shooting 46% from three-point range. He also shot nearly 90% from the Free Throw Line showing that he can be counted on in clutch situations. Hield will again be tasked with carrying Oklahoma’s offense this season as they look to make a run at a National Championship If he can duplicate his success from last year, there is no reason why he can’t become one of college basketball’s all-time great scorers by the time he leaves Norman.

HSC Basketball: The Top 5 players to watch this season – Part 6

The high school basketball (HSC) season is just around the corner, and excitement is building for what promises to be another thrilling campaign.

As we count down the days to tip-off, let’s take a look at the top 5 players to watch this season.

1. Sarah Jones – Sarah is a senior at Jefferson high school and she is one of the best players in the state. She averaged 19 points per game last season and she is a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor.

2. Michael Jordan – Michael is a junior at Lincoln High School and he is one of the most dynamic players in the country. He can score from anywhere on the court and he always seems to make the big play when his team needs it most.

3. Kobe Bryant – Kobe is a senior at Franklin High School and he is one of the most gifted scorers in HSC history. He has unlimited range on his jump shot and he always finds a way to get to the basket. Kobe is also an excellent defender and he should be a major factor in Franklin’s quest for a state championship this season.

4. Lebron James – LeBron is a junior at Oak Hill Academy and he is widely considered to be the best player in his class. He has amazing physical tools and he knows how to use them, as evidenced by his 27 points per game average last season. LeBron will be fun to watch this season, as he looks to lead Oak Hill to another championship.

5. Kevin Durant – Kevin is a senior at Montrose Christian Academy and he should be one of the leading scorers in HSC this season. He has a sweet stroke from long range and he’s not afraid to take it Strongtothe basket, either. Kevin Durant should have a big year for Montrose Christian, as they look to make noise in the HSC playoffs.

In this final segment of our top players to watch this season, we cover the last two players who just missed the cut for our top 5.

Zach LaVine – Seattle, WA – 6’5″ Guard
Considered one of the best dunkers in the country, LaVine has been turning heads since his freshman year of High School His explosiveness and athleticism make him a constant threat on both ends of the court.

Dante Exum – Australia – 6’6″ Guard
Exum is one of the most highly touted international prospects in recent years He’s a talented scoring guard with good size and speed. Exum has already committed to playing College Basketball at Indiana.

HSC Basketball: The Top 5 players to watch this season – Part 8

The high school basketball season is well underway and there have been some great performances so far. With that being said, here are the top 5 player to watch for the remainder of the season.

In at number 5 is sophomore shooting guard for Lincoln HS, Jake Addison. Jake has been lighting it up from behind the arc, shooting an amazing 47% from 3 point range. He is also averaging 17 points and 4 rebounds per game If he can keep up this level of play, he will be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.

Next on the list is junior small forward Zion Williamson from Spartanburg Day School Zion is one of the most athletic players in the state and uses his athleticism to his advantage, scoring almost at will inside the paint. He is averaging a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds per game He will be a nightmare for opposing defenses all season long

Number 3 on our list is senior point guard Javonte Green from Dorman HS. Javonte is one of the quickest players in the state and uses his speed to his advantage, getting to the rim at will and finishing through contact. He is also an excellent shooter from behind the arc, shooting 42% from 3 point range so far this season. He is averaging 19 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds per game.

Coming in at number 2 is senior shooting guard RJ Barrett from Montverde Academy in Florida. RJ is one of most polished scorers in all of high school basketball He can score from anywhere on the court and has unlimited range on his jump shot He is currently averaging 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game He will be sure to put up big numbers all season long.

And finally, at number 1 on our list is senior power forward Bol Bol from Mater Dei HS in California. Bol Bol is 7’2” tall and uses his size and length to his advantage, being able to shoot over any defender with ease. He can also put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim with both hands despite his size. He’s currently averaging 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game while shooting an astounding 70% from the field. Bol Bol is definitely a player to watch this season

HSC Basketball: The Top 5 players to watch this season – Part 9

The High school basketball season is just around the corner, and there are plenty of talented players to watch out for. In this series, we’ll be counting down the top 5 players in each position. Today, we’ll be looking at the top 5 centers.

These are the big men on the court; the ones who control the paint and make life difficult for opposing offenses. They’re often the tallest players on their team, and they use their size and strength to advantage. If you’re looking for a player who can dominate a game on both ends of the court, then you want a center.

1)Marcus Banks – Hillcrest High School
Banks is a 6’11” center who has already committed to play for Duke University next year. He’s a gifted shot-blocker with a smooth shooting touch, and he’s been dominating High School competition for years. Banks is the total package; there’s really no weakness in his game. He’s going to be a force to reckon with at the college level, and he could even make a run at the NBA someday.

2)Willie Warren – Horry County High School
Warren is another big man with plenty of college offers on the table. At 6’10”, he’s got good size for a center, but he’s also got the speed and athleticism to keep up with smaller players on the court. Warren is an excellent rebounder and shot-blocker, and he’s also developing into a pretty good scorer. He’s still got some raw areas in his game, but he has all the potential in the world.

3)Derrick Washington – Conway High School
Washington is yet anotherCenters from Horry County High School on this list, which just goes to show how deep this position is in South Carolina this year. Washington is 6’11” with a wingspan that stretches nearly 7 feet. He’s an intimidating presence in the paint, and he uses his size well to protect the rim. Washington is still raw offensively, but he has all the tools to develop into a strong scorer down low.

4)Devonte Graham – Waccamaw High School
Graham is a 6’7″ center who has been one of the best players in South Carolina for several years now. He’s an excellent rebounder and shot-blocker, and he has also developed into a pretty good scorer inside. Graham isn’t particularly quick or athletic, but he makes up for it with his smarts and understanding of how to play his role within a team concept.

5)Trey Porter – Mauldin High School
Porter rounds out our list at 6’9″. He’s another player who isn’t super quick or athletic, but he more than makes up for it with his strength, size, and skill level. Porter is one of those rare players who seems to have natural instincts for rebounding and Playing Defense it’s almost like he knows where the ball is going to end up before it does. Offensively, Porter is still developing as a scorer inside, but he has all the potential in the world
