The Incarnate Word Basketball Schedule is Here!

The Incarnate Word Cardinals are set to tip off their season on November 5th at home against the St. Thomas Bobcats. The Basketball Program released its full schedule today, which includes 28 regular season games and the Southland conference tournament

Highlights of the schedule include a matchup with defending National Champion Villanova on December 16th, as well as games against in-state rivals Texas A&M and Baylor. The Cardinals will also travel to California to take on USC and UCLA.

The team will look to build on last year’s success, when they won 21 games and made it to the semi-finals of the conference tournament Head Coach Ken Burmeister enters his tenth season at the helm of the Cardinals, and he will be looking to lead his team to their first NCAA tournament appearance in program history.

The Incarnate Word Cardinals will open their 2020-21 season on the road against the UTSA Roadrunners on Wednesday, Nov. 25. It will be the first of four straight games away from home to start the season for UIW. The Cardinals will then return home to the Convocation Center to host UT Tyler on Saturday, Nov. 28.
