Missouri light basketball – Team History

Missouri light basketball is a semi-professional basketball team based in Saint Louis Missouri. The team competes in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and plays its home games at the Gateway Center Arena in Collinsville, Illinois.

The Flight were founded in 2006 as an expansion team of the ABA and began play in the 2006-07 season. The team’s first game was a victory over the Kansas City Sting, making them the first Basketball team from St. Louis to win their inaugural game since the St. Louis Hawks did so 41 years earlier. Missouri finished their inaugural season with a 14-4 record and qualified for the ABA playoffs, where they lost to eventual league champion Oklahoma Storm in the Opening Round

In 2007-08, Missouri once again qualified for the ABA playoffs with a 14-4 record, but this time they were defeated by the Kansas City Knights in the opening round. In 2008-09, despite finishing with a losing record of 11-7, Missouri still qualified for the ABA playoffs and defeated Oklahoma Storm in the opening round before losing to Tulsa 66ers in the conference semifinals.

The 2009-10 season was Missouri’s best season to date as they finished with a 18-2 record and won their first ever ABA championship by defeating Tulsa 66ers in the Championship game In 2010-11, Missouri once again made it to the ABA Finals but this time they were defeated by Tulsa 66ers.

Since beginning play in 2006, Missouri has been one of the most successful teams in the ABA and has won one championship while appearing in two other finals.

Missouri Flight Basketball – The Players

The Missouri Flight basketball team is a semi-professional Basketball team based in Kansas City Missouri. The team is a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA).

The Flight roster is composed of former collegiate and professional players. Some of the notable players who have suited up for the Flight include:

· Michael Porter Jr. – A 6’10” Power Forward from the University of Missouri Porter was drafted by the Denver Nuggets with the 14th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft In his one season at Missouri, he was named an AP All-American and SEC Co-Player of the Year.

· Jordan Barnett – A 6’7” small forward from the University of Missouri, Barnett was averaging 12 points and 5 rebounds per game for Mizzou before being suspended for the final eight games of his college career due to a DUI arrest. He went on to play professionally in Germany before joining the Flight.

· Barry Hinson – A 6’6” shooting guard from Oral Roberts University Hinson played nine seasons in the NBA, averaging 7 points per game for his career. He also spent time as an Assistant Coach in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings

Missouri Flight Basketball – The Tickets

The Missouri Flight are a professional basketball team in the NBA G League They are owned by the Uri Basketball Accelerator, LLC, and play their home games at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri. The team began play in the 2017-18 Season as an expansion team.

The Missouri Flight compete in the Central Division of the Western Conference The team’s colors are red, white, and blue. Their mascot is a bald eagle named Soar.

The Arena, also known as Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, is a multi-purpose arena in Independence, Missouri. It is the home of the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League and the Independence Events Center. The arena seats 6,300 for hockey and up to 7,000 for concerts.

Missouri Flight Basketball is a college basketball team that plays in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division I. The team is a part of the Mid-American Conference and plays its home games at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri. The team has been to the NCAA tournament eleven times and has won two conference championships The team’s most notable rivals are the Kansas Jayhawks and the Illinois Fighting Illini

The Missouri Flight basketball team is a relatively new team in the sport, having only been founded in 2007. The team plays in the Midwest Professional Basketball Association (MPBA) and is based in Columbia, Missouri. In their first season, they won the MPBA championship.

The team’s games are broadcast on local radio station KBIA 91.3 FM.

Missouri Flight Basketball – The Future

The Missouri Flight are a Basketball team in the semi-professional American Basketball Association (ABA). The team is based in Springfield, Missouri, and plays its Home Games at JQH Arena. The Flight are owned by Jerry Reynolds who also owns the NBA’s Sacramento Kings

The team was founded in 2006 as the flight part of the ABA’s expansion into the Midwest. In their first season, they finished with a 24-4 record and won the ABA Midwest Division title. They lost to the eventual ABA champion Kentucky Colonels in the divisional playoffs.

In 2007, the team changed their name to the Missouri Frost, but reverted back to the Flight name prior to the start of the 2008 season. In 2008, they again lost in the divisional playoffs, this time to eventual champion Detroit Panthers.

In 2009, they made it all the way to the ABA Finals, where they lost to Detroit. In 2010, they once again made it to the finals, but this time they won, beating Detroit handily in five games. They were led by Finals MVP Maurice Carter, who averaged 25 points per game in the series. The team then moved to Cape Girardeau for one season before returning to Springfield prior to the 2011-12 season.
