They made some big changes in their roster by acquiring Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague in Free agency and adding rookie center Karl-Anthony Towns However, they have struggled mightily on defense and currently have a record of 25-25, which is good for 8th place in the Western Conference

4. The Indiana Pacers
The Pacers came into this season with aspirations of being one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference after acquiring Paul George in a trade with Oklahoma City Thunder during last year’s offseason. However, they have struggled mightily on both ends of floor and currently sit at 23-29, which is good for 11th place in conference.

5. The Los Angeles Lakers
After signing Lonzo Ball and trading for Brandon Ingram in last year’s draft, many expected the Lakers to take a big step forward this season as young core continued to develop under Head Coach Luke Walton . Unfortunately, that has not been case as Ball has struggled with injuries and Ingram has regressed significantly from last year . As result , Lakers find themselves at 20 – 32 , 13th place out West heading into All – Star break .
